Please read the Safety Data Sheets with those powder pillows (NitraVer5)! Should have gloves and probably perform in a fume hood.

Gloves should be worn as well as the sample should be pipetted into the cuvette.

Pipetting Ammonium Nitrate is a dangerous task since even the smallest dose can be lethal / cause terminal disease ( cancer )

Probably dilute the sample with D. I water and get the reading, later on multiple with the dilution factor

Have you done a chlorophyll test with the Hach DR3900? Do you know which program to use?
