It's all about maximing profit while having limited supply. 6800 is basically the same chip as 6950 xt. Since the yield is so good, it is more profitable to replace them with smaller chips like 6750 xt and make more 6800/6900/6950 xt. The same thing goes for 6650 xt.

Msrp of the 6700 was 479$, the 6650 is like 400$. The 6800 msrp was 579$, and the 6750 is 549$. Its obviously just a cash grab

The rx 6650 xt is easily the way to go. Much cheaper than a 3060 ti and for only 10-15 frames lost at max. A modest overclock can also fix the lost frames, giving near-equivalent performance.

That logic makes no sense since an overclocked ti would just increase the performance difference again. The 6650xt also sucks at raytracing, lacks tensor and dedicated video encoding/decoding hardware, and has no ai capabilities while nvidia is pumping out groundbreaking ai tech left and right

@@novaplex4024 Nvidia does have better technology, but price should also be considered, and I would say that if you're on a budget that AMD cards give amazing price to performance. And if you're so worried about the 10 to 15 frames lost, you could always get a 6700 xt which beats the 3060 ti in straight rasterization performance. So if budget isn't a problem, then Nvidia makes sense, but AMD gives better price to performance at this GPU level.

As for streaming, I have an 8700 and he has a 10400f, the slightly higher cpu usage for me doesn't affect streaming at all at 1440p 60fps (25mbps)

They can charge a premium for brand name. The raytracing advantage is also a thing, but even for a 3060 ti it's not powerful enough to get 60 fps with raytracing in a lot of games, so most people wouldn't use it. The 6650xt looks like a real winner just at cost for performance. Especially now since you can find them under $250 a lot of places.

You should be fine. A lot of websites that i trust are recommending 500w psu or higher and in doubt even the manufacturer themselfs (MSI, AMD) are recommending 500w psu or higher. If you are worried, then there is always the option to undervolt your CPU and GPU and don't worry, it won't affect their performances in a negative way. This will either reduce the energy consumption or increase performance for the same energy consumption. No guarantees for my statements since i'm merely informing you of data given by official manufacturers.

I'm upgrading my old budget pc, I already change my shitty i3 9100f to an R5 5600 and I want to change my RX 570 with a GPU future-proof that can with completely all games on ultra 1080p 60+fps, I was wondering what choice is better if a New RX 6650 XT for $400, a New Rx 6700 10GB for $450 or a Used RTX 3060ti for ~$380-430, I like to use Reshade and play heavily modded games like cyberpunk 2077, fallout franchise, Skyrim, the witcher 3, the upcoming Starfield, etc. and usually the mods runs better in Nvidia GPUs, but the future is Lumen with Unreal Engine 5 and not Ray tracing.

Nvidia has nvenc and i m so confused i want to start streaming but I can't figure out a gpu in my budget 3070s and 4060ti's are so expensive here in india that they dont seem worth it the only decent options i m left with are amd cards and sure the have better raw power per dollar than nvidia cards but nvidia's software man i cant get that out of my head the noise correction ray tracing nvenc please someone help me with this dilemma what card should i get for streaming 720-1080p games mainly fps games i don't play AAAs or stuff

Most people in comments are wrongfully focusing on power efficiency of 6650 XT but the reality is the 6000 series doesn't show the total board power, so you should add 20~30W in the value, the total TDP is something like 180W against 200W from RTX 3060 Ti.

I'd imagine it has to do with the cooling fans/heatsink. You can have a cpu that runs on 65w run hotter than a cpu that runs on 100w if the cooling for the 65w cpu isn't as good for example. The gpus have different architecture too so that plays in.

They are very good cards indeed no doubt but the think what bothers me the most, is that they have both just 8 Gigs of VRAM, thats not cool for 2022 and for future Games, it could be very tricky even on 1080p.

bruuuuuhh I didn't even know the 6650XT was a gpu...no really I never saw it in any of my local shops... although the pricing is kinda fked up right now in my shitty country(Cyprus): RX 6500 XT = 309-329 euro RX 6600 XT = 449 euro RTX 3060 = 499-599 euro RTX 3070 Ti = 799-879 euro RX 6700 XT = 849 euro at this point I'm just stuck here with my puny GTX 1050 Ti waiting for a miracle xD (I might soon just buy a used RX580 and be done with it)

Call me a conspiracy theorist but i think AMD has bumped GPU prices in a handshakes with NVDA to cut back supply and charge consumers more. In the UK a lot of used GPUS like 3070 are near MSRP used while over 30% from retail, during the last crypto 2019 crash 570s were selling for £65 used with 1 year warranty while being £130 from retail whilst new entry level GPUs like 3050 are £260 now. They now they sold a shit ton of GPUs to miners and cant compete with used pricing so are crippling supply and focusing on next generation which has significant performance increases. AMD/NVIDIA are never your friends.....

Its not just crypto mining though. Its silicon shortages, increased tariffs, and a shortage of fabrication facilities, at a time when Apple, amd, nvidia, Microsoft and Sony all released heavily sought after products at the same time. What has happened recently is unprecedented. Crypto mining only makes up a minority of the reasons prices got to a point where they did. AMD and Nvidia took advantage of it, sure, but only because the above reasons made it possible for them to, and the insane prices were because of retailers/resellers and gpu manufacturer partners, not so much amd and nvidia themselves.

Shortages of manufactured chips, due to limited available fabbing ability put them in a position they could. Which is what I said already. And ps4 doesn't use 5nm, 7nm or 8nm processes, so it wasn't fighting for limited cutting edge space. PS5 and xbsx were.... did you notice what happened there? They had the benefit of being mostly fabbed before crap hit the fan initially. Once that dried up new gpus were fabbed in trickles.
