It's not only just the speeds that matter, it's the timings as well (timings are probably just as if not more important than speed), this is why the 3200mhz and 3600mhz was pretty close to each other. 3200mhz with tight timings can out perform 3600mhz with loose timings, but that 3200mhz Ram would cost a lot more than that 3600mhz ram.

@@JohnnyCocas00 I'm kinda dumb when it comes to tech, but I know frequency. I'm guessing in those tests, the oscillations all lined up. In other words, the 3600mhz ram had a processor that was divisible by 6 or 3 in bus speed (600/300/1200). The 3200 had a 400 or 800mhz base clock. I don't have a reaction time that would need a super-sync monitor and FPS from the gfx card so I'll happily just get a pre-built unless it's too fudgy (HP has terribly interconnected specialist parts and I can't fix them when things go wrong, unlike a white-box)

you are missing something very important, all these benchmarks are on the same ram stick (also probably ran at the same voltage throughout), but not only the clock is changed but timings are changed as well (as the clock goes up, the timings loosen, they also go up, clock: the higher the better, timing:the lower the better), the difference between CL16 2400mhz and CL16 3200mhz (same timing) is going to be a lot higher in fps since you're virtually increasing your performance by 33%, let's say you average 100fps before, if you're not gpu bound you should see (in theory) +33 fps. in the video, you can look in the description, the lower the clock on the ram the better the timing, and timing is almost as important as clock.

Agree, but then the rest would be about memory speed, memory rank and memory channel. Additional motherboard manufacturer comes into play based on memory topology (i.e. Daisy chain vs T ) .. This is why in some cases you see four sticks of memory performing faster than two sticks it has to do with the motherboard tracer topology. But we're all rising loves memory frequency speeds with the lowest latency possible and keeping a 1:1 ratio FCLK.

Gona add this is a ryzen 3000 gen cpu which is much less ram speed dependent if your on a 2000 or 1000 gen the fast ram we'll have a much bigger preformanc gain.

So can i just use 2400mhz with my ryzen 7 3700x? Cuz i found a bargain 8gb for 15 bucks.
@D00ML0RD14 жыл бұрын
@@kinzdarell5447 no you still should use atleast 3200 for a ryzen CPu as it has the best price to performance Also if it's under 50$ for ram it's a scam

3200mhz cl16 is highly recommended for 16gb, and 32gb with ddr4 ram is great for fps boost
@mikegaming49249 ай бұрын
This is quite not good test to show the RAM speed differences, as the lower latency of the lower ram speed helps quite a bit to offset the reduction of bandwidth. It should be tested at the exact same timings, but at reduced speed

I wish I could see those faster RAM around 4GHz 4800Mhz Royal G.Skill The Ryzen CPU uses 1:1 a 3600 MHz split into 2x 1800MHz 3600MHz having a 1:1 of 1800MHz times 2 scores better and low latency. 4800MHz having a 1:1 of 2400MHz times 2 scores even more & lower latency. Then those 5000MHZ + RAM Memory that's been coming out will be even better. Always go for the highest frequency RAM memory you can find especialy for Ryzen!

de 3200mhz para 3600mhz não tem muito ganho, a máxima pode até melhorar em um cenário de 3600mhz, mas constantemente é perceptível que ambos ficam alternando melhor desempenho.

Well it all comes down to how much mhz your cpu supports, my Ryzen 5 2600 goes up to 2900(and something) so I got 3200mhz to ensure maximum speed! : D

not including the xt models, the optimal ram speed for 3rd gen ryzen i found is 3733 cl14 with fclk of 1833 (tightened from 4400 cl19) I found this on msi x570 godlike and asus c8h
@kentd28694 жыл бұрын
this is also down with one stick of ram, dual channel is wonky, sometimes passes aida64 sometimes doesnt, for dual channel (2 sticks of 8 gb), 3600 cl14 with fclk of 1800 is very stable; I have not tested dual channel of 4 sticks tho

The 0.1% low readings from the 3200mt/s dimms are questionable to say the least. Look at RDR2 for instance: 32fps while others running mid 70s? How accurate is the rest of the results? As others state: those timings used can be optimized and make quite a difference, this review needs some work. Fore those who are interested in some final tweaks: to achieve higher boostclocks, a boost on IF and memory-speeds. A Bclk of 100.6 already grands you 25mhz on boost. Got my ram running 3755mt c16 timings and 1:1 on IF. My 3800x Single core boosts to 4628mhz, CB20 scores 529 and multicore to 5300pt. (Optimized CB20 runs tho) *warning* Bclk OC can and will mess up your nvme drives. Sata ssd's seem to be unaffected (GiBy x470 gaming 7). Some motherboards only use steps of 1 bclk, needless to say those are useless for bclk oc

gotthe same cinebench r20 score as you on my 3900x . trident royal 3600mhz before 100.7 BCLK ....32gb 2x16gb tightened to 14 14 14 36 with a 100.7 BCLK . single =528 MULTI =7498.was debating on oc to 3755 but difference is negligible and I am stable . 970 evo plus 1tb NVMI m.2 doesnt care about the small BCLK of 100.7. BUT 100.8= instability..........so I guess I am good with those cinebench scores

Timings dont matter below 4000 mghz. Higher frequance is always better. Think it as your cpu is 4ghz and you want your rams to match the speed of your cpu so boom no bottleneck smooth af

просто показаны те редкие игры где нагружается процессор, в остальных играх нет смысла ставить дорогую память, да к тому же 3200 достаточно и переплачивать за 3600 выигрывая 1fps нет особого смысла
