The Tet Parade kicked off in Westminster, California to celebrate the Lunar New Year on Saturday morning. The parade has been held in the city for over two decades and features floats, marching bands, lion dances, color guards, veterans and youth organizations, and more. Around 15,000 visitors were expected to attend.
The parade aims to celebrate the Year of the Snake and the robust Vietnamese-American community of Orange County. The Vietnamese-Americans living in Westminster and the surrounding cities are the largest community of Vietnamese-Americans outside of Vietnam.
