I love this song so much, the blurb that we got has been stuck in my head, and the full version sounds amazing! Also, it might just be me, but this song reminds me of Coin Locker Baby. It almost sounds like the singer (parent?) was sexually assaulted, and had a child as a result of it? Maybe the singer is traumatized from the experience, and takes it - as well as their anger - out on the kid, but they come to regret it to some capacity. It would also tie into the name of the song; since the sexual encounter would have been nonconsensual, and therefore the child - hence the “(Un)Natural Selection.” Or maybe the “You” mentioned in the song was the person who was assaulted? Just a thought, lol - but either way (I know I said this already, but) I adore this song so much, it sounds so good!

Oddly enough I cant shake off the feeling that she is talking to/about herself in multiple points of the song. Often times people can see themselves as gods over their own lives but they can still make mistakes. These mistakes can harm others and themselves, not to mention the pain others can inflict onto them. This can lead to blaming oneself and or others with a deep seeded hatred, paranoia about others and what they could do, harmful self reflections past or present, etc. Either way this is a beautiful song with a delightful amount of emotion and passion put into it. Please keep doing what you do. It feeds the minds of many others, including yours as well!

NOO!!! I was planning to have an all-nighter to hungrily wait for the premiere to start but I ended up SLEEPING 😭😭😭But.. disregarding that, I really.. REALLY LOVE the way you make your music!! the instrumentals are the literal TOP NOTCH of your SONGS!!! especially this one. I really love the funky beats, the up-down nature of your songs is really what makes it so immaculately unique. that's why I feel like it's highly disrespectful to even compare your songs to any other music producers!! Omg thank you so much!!! 😭 Tbh I still feel a little insecure when it comes to instrumentals so you saying that makes me really happy 🥹❤ And there's different ways you could look at the lyrics but the way I see it (in the context of the song): natural selection = your genes/health mainly determines your life prospects, whereas (un)natural selection = you may be very healthy but situations outside of your control and how you're treated determines your life prospects instead :)
