The big d shaped door with the screen sold me on the mesa over the kodiak. Got a 10x14 mesa for 524.95 shipped on sale. Mesa just has more features over the kodiak at the sale price point

I have the 10x14 Mesa it is easy and nice. I had mine going on for 3 years now. I have used mine in snow and rain with no troubles

Thanks for the video. I was planning to get the 4 person Teton Ultra tent until I learned that you cannot fit even one of their Universal Camp Cots in it, Adventure cot but not Universal cot (The footage at the floor is just long enough, but the cot would push into the walls and risk tearing them), and definitely won't fit two of them, and I just love those cots. So I am now looking at this 10x10 tent. It's more than I need, but does meet all my requirements, and since it's car camping not hiking far in that I do, this could just fit the bill nicely, along with one or two of the Universal Camp cots. Thumbs up. (Note: The portability of the smaller, lighter Ultra tents is very appealing, so I am hoping they will in the future redesign those tents to make their footprints slightly larger, just enough to allow for at least one but ideally two of their best Universal cots to be used safely with room to spare inside)

I just purchased a Kodiak Basic 10×14. Springbar tents were the first to develop the flexbow canvas. Springbar, Teton and Kodiak are Companies native to Utah.

Hello, I am currently looking for a tent to use during winter. Does this tent have flaps to cover the screen....to prevent the wind from coming in?

I’m glad someone finally did a review of this tent, I’m planning on buying me one ...the first time it rained did it leak? Canvas supposed to get wet then after drying out waterproofs it’s self , yea can’t wait to see you set it up to see how easy it is, so the tarp you bought was the floor print ?

No leaks at all... I was so impressed. We got hit by a bad storm, wind and about 2 inches of rain.... not one leak. Definitely worth the price

Just so you know, it is spelled "Mesa", but it's pronounced "MAY-suh," which is Spanish for a mountain which is basically flat on top, and has steep walls.
