Play for like, 20 minutes a day right before you sleep. This will eventually turn you into a passable player. For a practice drill, forget about trying to set up Tetrises and spins, just try to make the top of your stack as flat as possible for as long as possible. Huge canyons that can only be solved by an I-piece are almost entirely avoidable if you develop enough skill.

i mean fair enough, in classic tetris your enemy is yourself and your own stack, LV1 computers are basically just that. Obviously modern tetris is different than classic but if you haven't ground a lot of hours towards stacking well then the same applies

Internally, in the game's code, the O piece _has_ rotation states... it's just that every time you rotate it, the piece is immediately slid back into place so it looks like it hasn't moved. Nothing to see here, folks!
