Thanks for the support on my coffee videobrewing with Tetsu Kasuya’s hybrid recipe on the Hario Switch. Here is a follow up for a simpler guide video on the recipe with my minor touches.

Glad to see a fellow Singaporean on YT brewing coffee:) I just started my filter coffee journey and just tried Tetsu Kasuya’s method too which is awesome! Just curious if you know if a lower amount of coffee - 15g : 210ml instead of 20g : 280ml (280ml is too much for me), how should we adjust the timings for the pours/opening and closing of the switch. Thanks!

Thanks for dropping a comment. Always appreciate it. In my opinion, keep the timing the same. As long as you are good with the coffee water ratio. Try it and let me know! I’m

Nice! I’m using the KPlus. Typically grind at 6.5-6.7.. but sometimes it doesn’t work as well as it should.. wonder if you face the same issues? Some days it taste great and some days it’s meh..

Hi, I'm getting my Switch today and I'm excited to try Tetsu Kasuya's Switch method since 4:6 method worked best for me. I was just wondering right... In his original video, he dropped his water temp to about 75°C for the immersion. Did you do that? I don't have an electric kettle at home so I have no idea of how much room temp water to add to my kettle without a kitchen thermometer to get to 75°C

Hey yo. So sorry that I missed your comment. So how was your attempt at Tetsu Kasuya’s recipe. Would love to hear your experience. For myself I dropped it to 70deg celcius. It’s still superb. Probably good to invest in a kitchen thermometer if you are going to brew this awesome recipe moving forward.

@@kayuh1419 I got my kitchen thermometer but sometimes it's too much of a hassle to prepare 2 kettles, so I either add room temp water or drop a cube of ice to cool it down. I find that the method needs quite a bit of fine tuning regarding grind size and immersion time. It's very easy to overextract or underextract. Still playing around with it.
