Taoism and Bön Tibetan tradition have both a lot of shamanic aspects in their practices and teachings. I remember reading in one of the Bön-po masters' books in English that once a Bön priest who had come to the US said that he had been visited by a Native American spirit in his dreams who would perform a dance every night. When he described the dance to a Native American who was visiting their temple or attending their rituals, he or she told him that it was the famous Ghost Dance of their tribe! Also, there are videos about the visits by master Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche to the Andean shamans and they have performed some meditation and I guess even rituals together.

i am Unitarian universalist ,,, daoism and buddhism are same as harmonious universalism..i am 48 and last 15 years i watched our galaxy and world and seen that its disharmonious..very much yang power..hostile..non appropriate .. and we live in disharmony and delusion..its very hard when in outside astral plane and in the world so much disharmony and opposition inside yang and yang vs jin to preserve harmony inside you, in your life and outside u ... social-political -religious -astral disharmony exerted huge bad influence on me and made my life weak and awful..during last 15 years i was fluctuating and tried to free myself from social-astral opposition and religious opiumic attacks on my personal realm ... different dogmas offered me solutions and all were fake and only produce absent mindness and suffering..especially western political-religious systems ...plus i have many oppositions in my natal chart..i tried to be harmonious in myself but outside influences always distorted me and my life..i am universalist- and taoist..i respect buddhism too..taoism gives me harmony and tai chi is example..i always be faithful to universalism and taoism

@@hollyjaw3303 I think what makes this world interesting, that there are so many different paths and ways of seeing things, all unique in their own way. Putting an equation mark between them, in my opinion is just as distorted as thinking that one particular religion or philosophy is superior to all others. So I think the best is to take a middle way approach, recognize the similarities, learn from them, but still respect the uniqueness of each tradition.
