This video got a bit of a lack for the information about what is Megaloschemos in the first place: it’s the most strict vow that monk can ever give. People you see in the pictures are the monks of the monks, if they live in the monastery than they live separately and do not serve in any other way except liturgy and 24x7 praying. If it possible, than they just leave everything and go to desert, cave or forest to spent the rest of their lives alone praying. That is why the music is so calm, deep and short for words (mostly singing “god have mercy”) - its music of the silence, isihia. You will not probably hear that on a daily basis inside regular Orthodox Church, Russian for sure, what I regret a lot.

Why would any man profess a faith and love for God committ to a vow of great courage and then destroy such faith thru weak discipline and temptation, if you profess such love you would fear the wrath of the Almighty. Our religous leadership is corrupted the Pope has desecrated the sanctity of a Holy seat of power.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" - Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV Salvation (i.e. being born again) is a one time event. Once you are saved, you are always saved. Heaven is guaranteed because you have received the free gift of salvation provided for you only through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary (Romans 3:24-26, Romans 6:23, John 1:12-13). Audio Engineer here. Instruments all create vibrations in the air molecules which our ears perceive as pressure from those sound waves in the air and usually, some form of acoustics/reflections are used to amplify those soundwaves. In a way, the whole thing as a whole is an instrument. I wonder if the architecture is specifically built for constructive and destuctive amplification of specific harmonics. Some sacred geometry stuff haha. Just being nerdy. This sounds gorgeous. I can't imagine how amazing it would sound in person.

Don't ever believe the crap about "heresy" this, and that. Both churches have had a unification as an ideal since forever. We are all brothers and sisters, Christ's children. I was raised Orthodox, but have attended Catholic mass several times, read its literature, and talked to several priests as well. To me, it's just as enlightening as Orthodoxy, and I respect it just as much. Bickering over the interpretation of His words is NOT what Christ would have wanted. May you be blessed.

The language they sing in is called 'Old church slavonic' it was created during the times of christianisation of the first Bulgarian empire and it was based on the language spoken by the masses , before this the christians in Bulgaria used greek letter to construct the bulgarian words with inconsistancies . Nevertheless this same language was used to spread orthodox christianity through the slavic world but in Bulgaria the official script was changed later on with the superior Cyrlic named after Cyril one of the saints who aided the mission for christianisation and creating the glagolic script .

I do believe that Christ was risen from the dead but I still haven’t decided wether to join the Orthodox Catholic or the Roman Catholic (if I do it will be Sedevacantist) so don’t think I’m taking sides here.

@@theoverman6652 Historically though it is a well known fact the Rome was the one who sent a delegation to Constantinople excommunicating(Wow) the Bishop and church because they wouldn't acquiesce to their 'protest,' of power: universal jurisdiction in appointing the Clergyman they had chosen rather than what the Bishop of Constantinople chose. Subsequently, the Bishop of Constantinople responded and immediately that they rather were excommunicating Rome! In all this, the point I'm making is Rome was the aggressor not Constantinople! Rome "Lorded it over their brethren," Constantinople countered. It is interesting too, the other churches stayed in communion even til this day! Think about that! I'm a Protestant and almost became Roman as I was aghast at the current state of Protestantism and its acceptance of the spirit of the age with all the incursions its making in the 30,000 denominations. Truth is, if The Bible alone is the sole source of Truth then who is to say one interpretation is correct and the other is not? After studying Roman catholicism and finding some things that raised red flags I found Eastern Orthodoxy and have been studying extensively this year and am excited to be on the journey back home! I'm inquiring and soon in The Lord's Mercy will be a catechumen!

Ye must be born again (John 3:3)! If you are not born again, nothing else matters! If you are trusting in anything other than the blood of Jesus Christ to get you into Heaven (i.e. your good works, the Orthodox church or any other church, water baptism, sacraments, etc.), then you are not trusting fully in the blood of Jesus Christ by faith alone and you are not born again. "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins" - Colossians 1:14 KJV "That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise" - Ephesians 1:12-13 KJV

@KJER ERRT To me is more logical that consciousness is product of your soul. Because all souls are different, we have different consciousnesses for all human beings.

@KJER ERRT How do you know have you died before? The absence of evidence doesn't mean it doesn't exist

@@kishanthkoushik2766 Nah man, this guy is right. When you die you lose consciousness, it's the same as passing out, if you ever experienced that. It's really not that bad, it's the same with death, you shouldn't be scared of it, instead you should be scared of not living your life and of dying in pain and agony,
@kishanthkoushik27664 жыл бұрын
@@bjarnedansson9610 I guess that could be somewhat plausible, I don't really hold much of a belief in an afterlife I'm very skeptical of that. Compared to the afterlife I think God is a little harder to find out and I think it's unknowable in a sense. I don't want to ramble anymore lol but yeah I see your point and I'm not really a religious person either I'm agnostic.

When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.”

@you and who else The Spanish Inquisition was always this thorn on my Catholic education, even making me to distance myself from my faith, but seeing the world as it is now, with proof that satanists are around and that they sacrifice children as was recorded in the Epstein case, maybe the inquisition was there for a noble cause in some occasions.

Then you should listen to the romanian akathists. Search for Acatistul... and you will heard about the life of saints. Romanians and Bulgarians have beautiful traditions because we haved like ancestors, geto-dacians and tracians, and we keeped here in our region for 2000 years our traditions, our language, our lands. Our countries are very old, dacians was here 7000 years ago.

You are welcomed to any orthodox church in Eastern Europe. Orthodox Greek here. I would highly suggest to visit Meteora if your ever travel Greece. Divine experience and sights.
