Hi Tevz, I like to use a 60W incandescent light bulb in series with the mains power to prevent fireworks. I actually have 3 bulbs which I switch on with individual switches to increase or decrease the line resistance. I can send you a photo of it if you are interested..

incandescent light bulb is ok. Also resistor is ok.

I injoy your videos. I have a 70 inch sharp tv model number LC 70LE660U. The tv turns on the back lights but won't turn them off. I have no picture just the blue screen from the back lights being on. I was wondering if you have ran across this problem.

No display and can't turn it off. Seems it's a different issue. looks like the pane is the problem.

Hi friend.would you tell what is the watt of the large 120 ohm resistor that you use for to be sure there is a short component or not? And the second question is how do you know which ic belongs to which part of tv? Please guide me to learn it. Thanks a lot.

It's 220 ohms 20 watts. you can google the part number, or see the circuit diagram if they are similar.

The main reason there is no output of the LED driver is VCC 16 volt in the PWM which is present, and the mosfet is ok, so I decided to first replace the PWM.

Mosfet 's are usually shorted only if is damaged Pwm ic and the mosfet is the only main ingredient of the LEd driver.
