Statement on Tewkesbury Abbey Schola Cantorum website: "Since September 2023, chorister places have been in the choir have been [sic] open to both boys and girls." Note that this profound departure from a hallowed, centuries-old tradition, coming nearly a full decade after the posting of this video, makes it of particular historical significance. One wonders how much overlap there might be between my comment and a rather pointed one posted earlier on this page. I am leery of saying much more.

Pity a 1,500 tradition, with utterly unique repertoire, soundscape, emotional valence is now destroyed as of 2021. You call yourselves Christian, but your values come right from the Taliban or Mao's Red Guards.
