UK Gladiators - Series 7 1998 - Episode 11 - Quarter Final 3 - 14th November 1998
Here are the quarter finalists!
Judith Huntington (Bank mortgage specialist from Yorkshire) versus Maria Ward (Professional lifeguard from North London but originally from Romania)
Lavern Ritch (Swimming instructor from Cardiff, Wales) versus Neil Parsley (Rugby league player from Wirral, Merseyside)
Notes: Vertigo is in the third quarter final in an event line-up as a whole event for all men and women on the first event because Powerball is put on the second event, instead.
Final event appearances: Catapult, Danger-Zone, and Sumo Ball.
Each of the events is played as a split event for all Gladiators and contenders for the final time: Catapult for the women and Sumo Ball for the men, whilst Danger-Zone is played as a whole event for all men and women in the third quarter final in an event line-up as a core event and a chest guarded event for one odd numbered quarter final, 3 same as Gauntlet which both them are featured in the third quarter final as chest guarded events.
Absent: Rebel and Saracen.

That shot from Lightning in Danger Zone to take out Maria was exceptional as the gap was about the same width as the ball.

Also, if you're not aware Lavern was tragically stabbed in 2007 on holiday in New Jersey. His killer got 21 years and showed a lot of remorse. RIP

Like i said previously if levern could have been half decent on the hand bike hed have won it,, he was awful on it and it cost him over 5 seconds in this round.

I wonder if Lavern crunching the Crossbow the way he did prevented this event appearing any further, as it was the only event from its original release date of 1992 that didn't make the roaster of Series 8 1999.

That's the normal time limit for Danger Zone

Because 60 seconds was the time limit in the American event Assault (which Danger Zone is based on). That said, we also had five stations instead of four, the time limit for the British version should've been 45 seconds.

I guess 2024 wasn't the first time a contender opted out of Gauntlet (I think it happened with a female contender before as well). I'll always believe that the events are mandatory, and if you can't/don't want to take part in one, you're out of the show (or at least have a points deduction).
