I believe now that we have a dominant 1,2,3 at Wr we can now draft best player available. However we do have some needs to address. Lb and safety, depth at cb and rb are the concerns. In most of the mock drafts I have run if you wait beyond the 3rd round the quality isn’t there for cb or lb. Those positions need to be addressed sooner rather than later. Cooper or Wilson are the guys at LB. I favor Cooper over Wilson. Wilson is more athletic but Cooper doesn’t have the medical red flags. Cb there are some options Rackestraw, Tampa, and Sainristrill are the guys that can come in and push this current group. I like Tampa the most as he has the athleticism and the hip flexibility to drop and run. Sainristrill is a fit here as he fits what Nick and Demeco look for, he was a team captain and a high character guy at Michigan, he also happens to be one of the better slot corners over the past season in college. Wr is further down the board we should look late rounds for guys like a McCaffrey, Josh Cephus, or a Bub Mims. Te is some good flavor there around the 4th Stover is usually gone but you can get a Theo Johnson or Ben Sinnot around there usually. Rb for a class that isn’t deep, most start going late 3rd through 5th rounds. Trey Benson and Brooks are the best in the class, for what we need Wright, Lloyd, or and Estime fit this. Safety is some options Nubin is the best and most starting ready. The Miami Safeties are to be avoided as both struggled with coverage both last season and during senior bowls. You get some guys 5-7 in an Oregon State Odapo, or an Auburn Simpson. Cole Bishop or Bullard are 4th rd options. The key is anticipating where the runs start and having a couple options in the event your player isn’t there.

I like nubin at 42 but if cooper is there, im taking cooper. Our base d is a 4-3 and teams ran all over us. We need a solid #3 lb and hes a pass rushing beast. At 2b im looking at dt Braden Fiske. Dominant dt thats great at stopping the run. Solid rotational depth and possible starter. Rnd 3 im taking s calen bullock. 6'3 ballhawk that can play centerfield for us. 4a. Luke mccaffrey. Long term wr in the slot. 4b. Isaac gurendo. Fastest rb at the combine. BIG goal line pound the ball in the endzone back with great hands to run screens

Here's a tip, use the 7th rounders for when you want to trade up, those are like place holders may want to move up from 123, definitely use them to get back into the 5th rd. like Cook-serio is going to do

Brother....Personally I prefer your second "mock".....I want a "Big Nasty" on the D-Line in the draft and Byron Murphy fits that bill!!! The rest were good depth picks for special teams or maybe a rotation piece....but Byron Murphy will be an immediate rotational starter for sure....Gotta keep them "Big Boys" fresh!!!! Because of my arthritic knees I don't get out of the house much but I would LOVE getting to meet you, Landry and Figgy face to face instead of just in the "chats". I may sometimes get a little long winded in my posts....but it is just my passion for Houston football. I played for 14ish years from 4th grade at St. Annes, Then won two State Championships at St. Thomas, then SFASU for a year and a half... until I finally playing a couple of years at LB for the Houston Wranglers way back when until a final major cuncussion put an end to my football playing career....Back then helmet to helmet, ear hole shot, lead with your helmet tackles were the norm. 🤪🤕😵 I've been following and supporting the Houston football teams closely since about 1966, Oilers and Texans, and I feel THIS is the best team we have EVER put together!!!! I think the Texans go corner or dt with the first 2 picks. Which position is the first pick depends on how the board falls to them. Then rb and te based on who ever is available. They could draft a left guard in the second if they fall to them.

Starting to really be intrigued by the idea of double dipping at DT… IF for whatever reason Sweat/Fiske fall to us I would definitely consider. I really hope when it’s all said and done though , that Jordan Whittington is a Houston texan… as well as J Brooks. 2 small town texas guys that play hard and would mesh perfectly in the locker room. Whittington is extremely versatile while brooks could sit and or load manage his first year behind Mixon/Pierce…

Trading that 1st rounder was a dumb move by cASSerio, made even dumber by nullifying Diggs contract. Turned Diggs into a 1 year rental. Should have just drafted a WR with that 1st round pick or had that 1st round pick as trade ammo on draft night. cASSerio had redeemed himself by getting Diggs, but became an idiot again by nullifying Diggs' contract.

I go to FSU… here’s my scouting report on those guys… Keon Coleman wouldn’t be a culture fit for the Texans… everyone who knows him says he’s an absolute idiot. Like to the point where all his brain can think about is football and women. It’s as if he’s a deer in headlight when you talk to him… lights are on but nobody is home🤣. Trey Benson is definitely great and would be very nice to have him learn behind Mixon. Coleman would be a steal. I think hes more on the trajectory of Nico Collins with a slower start but can be wildly impactful. Dude is a playmaker however he’s only 20 and was basketball player not too long ago.

I do not like Keon Coleman at 59. I would rather have Sanders from Texas. He is really more of a hybrid. He is a tight end, who really has the athleticism of a wide receiver. Jaylen Wright is much, much better than Trey Benson. Like Keon Coleman, I do not like Trey Benson. Maybe it is a Florida State thing, I don’t know.
