It was a very sour note to end a great year. The team seemed to be unable to keep guys in front of them since the second half of the Illinois game. It was hard to stay in front of the more athletic A&M players, but once they were banging in every 3 they took, it spread the D out and exposed them to 1-on-1 matchups and open offensive rebounds. Lights out. Super disappointed. Hopefully, it's just the start of better days for us.

Purdue struggled in first half against a #16 seed. Edey is slow as molasses he got his shot blocked a couple times in the first half. Goon with nothing more than slow moves against an undersized and undermanned Grambling team. 78 points total for the game? Against a #16 team ? They needed a 2nd half surge to win the game. I’m unimpressed with Purdue since other than Edey who had 31 they essentially had nobody else who did anything. Purdue fans: get ready for them to struggle in the tournament. They are ripe to be upset, again.

Nebraska got too cute trying to get their forwards involved. Their 2 guards, Tominaga and Williams, were on fire and should have been given the green light to carry the game in the 2nd half. Not a surprise though - their head coach was the worst coach in the NBA before being fired for a good reason. Even after this fluky season (carried by Keisei and other upper classmen), you have to go back to the 1950s to find a Nebrask coach with a lower win percentage lol.
