@@gamingtonight1526 During controlled burns more carbon returns to the soil and recovery happens faster. This recovery also reabsorbs more Co2 and faster that after big burns. Sure you cant controlled burn every square mile. But it is a tool that needs more use. Most grasslands benefit from it ecologically. And it is a lot safer for all life involved. The world needs less pointing and more doing.

Killing of cows has a long term effect. To have a cow you need a heifer. For the heifer a cow needs almost a year after breeding. That is 5 years to go from egg and sperm to steer that is slaughtered.

Did you even watch the video? There will be some effect on beef prices, but overall, there won't be a drastic change. The aid from the government will likely be in the form of low cost LOANS. And most don't have insurance to cover the losses. A few newer buildings, maybe, and their homes and most heavy equipment, like tractors and trailers, but not older barns, not fencing, and not the cattle themselves. For that young family, who poured all their savings into building a small herd (yes 200 is small in that area), they have nothing left but scorched earth. No place to live, no income.
