Hey everyone. This video is from two days of hunting near Justin, Tx. I have been there before with my Sis, she went this time also, and found a bunch of cool things. They have moved more material so the hunting was fantastic! Have a lot of prepping to do now but how can you do that when you know these fossils are being destroyed? Hope you enjoy!

Glad to have you see a new interest. To think these animals were around that long ago and now we can find traces of them. Just amazing!

Nice finds you are lucky to find bigger ammonites that show the suture lines. Most of the ammonites I find in central to South Texas don't show sutures at all can you explain why that is. That some ammonites have sutures some don't

It is lucky. Not overly on here. Especially on the small to medium size. Thanks for watching.

That's a nice "Goniophorus" echinoid. Those are real gems.

Thanks. They we're a lot of them. I stopped picking them up. I think they polish up nice. Thought of jewelry for them.

It is a very tiny Goniophorus. Almost stepped on it.

Several years ago in one of those developments they scraped the pads and left them exposed before they recovered with loose material. In the weathered blue-gray shale I found several small shark teeth hand even part of belemnite which is rare down here. It was only that one thin layer in the whole development.

Awesome. No teeth for us. There are two areas with the grey matrix. Only a about a yard thick.

Thanks David. Had three guesses saying it is the worn part of a clam or scallop. Which, if I looked at it with tht in mind it makes sense.

Thanks for watching. I am going to start cleaning out the garage this weekend. Need to make room to shout a video. Might be a couple of weeks but I will get one or more done.

Question for you. Do you ever come across any arrowheads or the like when you're looking for fossils? Love th videos!!
@northtexasfossildude

Thanks. I have only one complete arrow head. It's a golodrina. Killer find. There's a video where I found it. Other than that a broken Gary point. Others find them at NSR constantly.

Is that a fossilized skate, you know, a baby sting ray?
@northtexasfossildude

Hi LR, thanks for watching. It was determined to be a type of bivalve that had worn down. I can see why you thought sting ray though.
