Centerpoint failed and all the politicians who have stood by for years allowing for nothing to be done to prepare the utilities to withstand normal weather patterns that occur consistently in this area failed. Shame on Centerpoint, Houston politicians, and Texas politicians. All the words are meaningless rhetoric. Take action and make the changes that are needed, and quit talking about it and making excuses and blaming someone else.

I have a friend in Sugarland who is STILL OUT OF POWER. Her septic tank is messed up and there is sewage in the yard. Because the pool pump has no power, there will be major clean up and repair costs for their pool. There are 60 homes in her area that have no power. She had to pay $5000 to have two fallen trees cleared out of her yard. She spent another $5000 on air conditioners designed for windows and a generator to run them. Her family now has TWO generators running on $80 worth of gas per day - giving her family a working fridge, TV, cell usage, some light, and 2 air con units. She has friends across town who allow her to wash clothes at their homes. She and her family only have cold water for bathing. Houston has desperately failed.

Republics know in Texas, no one can beat them so they just talk and not work. Blaming the center point doesn't do any good without taking ownership and do some work. During freezing blame on the power generation company, where is the government's oversight team doing. Companies are always going to look for the profit for their company and not serve the customer. February 2021 HOUSTON FREEZE was the only time the GRID WENT DOWN FROM ERCOT, BECAUSE THE WIND TURBINES FROZE ! The problem that we have from CENTERPOINT is that they did not ordered Trucks and have them ready on standby a week in advance before the Hurricane hit!! CENTERPOINT either has incompetent people who know nothing about Hurricanes, or they were told to stand down and not order the trucks at all for the sake of profitability for their company! This is HOUSTON TEXAS, the 4th largest city in the nation which one do you think it is?
