@@mr.goodpliers6988 Just a couple of comments: I think you confuse the GT6 with the Triumph Spitfire Le Mans GTs which were strictly prototypes, I don't think the GT6 ever ran in that race (see them here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqHIoXeIpsh5edE). The burnt out British convertible is a Hillman Minx Series IIIC, a nice car to plod around but not very sporty.

I had a 1963 Caddie Hearse for a few years. The make was Superior. Had the same roof line as the one in your video. Drove it to the drive in movies one summer night and parked it sideways with the side door open for movie watching! My 62 American got hauled to the scrapper all cut up inside my hearse. Love those Caddies from the 60's! Keep up the tours of wrecking yards.

For those who wish to restore classic cars. There is one thing to know : to be definitively efficient against rust, you should put grease everywhere. grease is the only thing very efficient against rust. put grease between metal and carpet, inside door, behind metallic bumper, under the vehicle, behind the repairs you can make (everywhere inside the body - hidden erea - instead of using paint), hollow areas (necessarily hidden, so no need to be aesthetic). For rear wings unreachable with a paintbrush, use an extender and poor old oil everywhere each year. rust always comes from the inside and welds. Handyman Experience - 35 years. From france

A small useless quizz game q&a: Lord King, who was appointed CEO of British Airways (BA) after prime minister, Margaret Thatcher, had the business privatised; ran a London Taxi Cab, as his company vehicle. A chauffeur would drive the car while Lord King sat in the back, being able to work in his mobile office. The Taxi was ideally suited to London's narrow streets with its tight turning circle. BTW, Mercedes 280 Coupe's are getting to very decent collector status in UK 🇬🇧 and Europe 🇪🇺, as the numbers fade, real shame if that car wasn't saved. Chrysler bought out the Roots Group but not sure what year. The Roots Group built the Plymouth Cricket in '71 & '72. That same car was sold as the Hillman Avenger in other markets. At the same time Mitsubishi provided the Dodge Colt, a name which lasted much longer.

That fire damaged convertible at about 45 mins. is a late fifties/early sixties Hillman Minx, Hillman was a division of the Rootes Group along with Sunbeam, Singer, Humber and Commer which was taken over by Chrysler Corp. in the early/miid sixties along with Simca of France. When Lee Iaccoca joined Chrysler from Ford in the early eighties he was tasked with turning the company around which involved selling off the European division which eventually ended up in the hands of Peugeot. BTW, the Morris Minor station wagons are known as 'Travellers' here in the UK.Love the term 'Winter Beater', a nod to the Cold War Motors team up in Canada.

You missed the part that those Hillman/Singer/Humber/sunbeams were designed by Raymond Lowey .I've owned a couple and they were great driving little cars which could be sped up by simply dropping in a later Hillman 1722 CC engine,which had a head designed by Holbay. They are also the basis for the Sunbeam Tiger and alpine.

Ohhh weird cars, I got one for you, in the middle of Wyoming, setting in a farmers just off I-80 a jet black British taxi very similar to the one shown here, big difference, this one appeared to be operational. The strange part was that it was a day or so after Princess Diana of Great Britain died. Still gives chills to thank about it.

You showed a 1970 LTD Country Squire in pastel blue which was identical to the one my dad purchased new. Pastel blue was an uncommonly seen color for that car. Also note that Country Squires from 1969 on also bore the LTD name.

i would love to see a video of a junkyard walkthrough of old classic cars wearing a personal radiation dosimeter and carrying a geigercounter...cars sitting in the sun for long periods of time become radioactive due to ionizing radioisotopes from the sun hitting them and the molecular structure of the metal deteriorates...cars parked out west are probably the worst,people walking through the junkyards are being exposed to high levels of radiation...all the old cars are mostly radioactive...junkyard walkers should carry geigercounters

International travel all appears to be a factory diesel. If the fuel cap is on the passenger side front fender it's a diesel. If the fuel cap is on the driver side rear quarter it's gas.
