Last year Sarks kryptonite was the 3 high look. Horns faced it probably 9 games last year. Always struggled against it. He seems to not fight the 3 high and Quinn and Sark both take what they give including running the ball.

The 3 high *safety*, drop 8 look was Sark's kryptonite his first couple seasons, not so much traditional Cover 3 with single high S and two CBs dropping. He did ultimately beat it by using 12 personnel and bringing a converted OT as TE to create extra gaps.

Last year the kryptonite was red zone offense. Quinn just wasn't at a level yet to pick apart compressed defenses inside the 20 and the line wasn't quite ready yet to run it in consistently. Both seem good to go today.

First time I’ve seen your content. Excellent breakdown. Someone already said it but it looks like Michigan is playing cover 3 because that’s what Sark has had the most issue with. Contrary to what some UM fans think, football was indeed being played before COVID, and history will tell you recruiting matters. Michigan has not recruited well enough to reload a team that last season had over half its roster loaded with veteran seniors and super seniors . Same with coaching. You can't replace coaches who had NFL experience with coaches from (Not LSU)-Louisiana, Memphis, and UMass and expect business as usual. An ice cold tsunami of reality is about to SMASH that fan base straight in the face.😮‍💨

Do u feel that coaches may be more vanilla earlier this season due to now having playoffs ? Michigan seem to be holding back a little , In the past they were much more aggressive . This was a very passive defense and I don’t think that this is their true identity.
