In this full, solo chase video of the 6-2-24 Silverton, TX day, you'll find amazing structure and close range strong to violent tornadoes. Overall, for a low end tornado probability day, this far exceeded any expectations.
Thank yall for your support!

Pro Tips: Keep a few microfiber cloths in your vehicle. Use the cloth to clean your wiper blades before and after every chase! Buy a quality windshield washer fluid and keep your reservoir filled up! Spray the cleaner on the wiper blades to keep them lubricated. | After chasing all day, it's good practice to check your vehicle's oil level before starting it the following morning, it'll show the truest reading. You don't wanna blow the engine running it without oil and be stuck out in the middle of nowhere!

If you need to check your oil everyday that vehicle shouldn’t be on the road,and unless you have deep pockets buying premium washer fluid is a waste unless you dealing with moist to freezing winter weather and a lot of bugs in the warmer time of year.

@juniorjuss4543 it is likely you are not traveling 700km a day to chase a storm. Some serious miles can be had each day. In this instance Reed's vehicle's engine gave out. I'm wondering if it were the oil 🛢 🤔 😅

I was in an F1 ~ scared to death. I can’t even imagine anything more. It did over $20,000.00 damage~to structures ~ more to clean up. That’s an F1. Unimaginable ~ a bigger one. God Bless everyone that has experienced a tornado of any size.

Why is it that most chasers don't report tornados to authorities to warn others??

They do. I've heard them call several times, or tell someone else to call for the. If they're busy. This video is clips put together. He may have called, but cut it out. Or perhaps the NWS already knew about it.

I agree violent tornado....why does any one scream that. Obviously tornadoes are violent. And all the hysteria going on in there car is so very disrespectful when people are loosing there homes and belongings and sometimes there very lifes. If you can't be a professional at least don't post your videos on line. Put yourself in there shoes and feel there losses. I understand that tornadoes are exciting to some, but tornado watching was and IS to watch for tornadoes and WARN the public. Don't disrespect professional watchers or those who are in the line of the storm. What if it were your family, how would you honestly feel. Be safe

The reason Reed screams with adrenaline is because when there is a tornado his first thought is to get in front of it and intercept it (strength depending). Most others don't actually intend to do that. It's the difference of fighting in the UFC or just going to spectate.

So often I hear storm chasers yelling "violent tornado!" And I'd think--like there's ever a PEACEFUL tornado. But I almost felt like this one...was. One unnerving thing, though, is if I watched at higher speed, it appears to do a lot of wobbling and direction-changing--even back-tracking. Especially around 30 or so. Which made me wonder about how "safe" any position near a tornado really is.

@0ptimal 3 ай бұрын
We had a tornado warning very near home in cen tex a few weeks ago, the rotation was about 15-20 miles north of us and going well north east. Almost always that means we were clear. But all the sudden that thing literally teleported directly on top of us. Like it went from defined rotation going nrth east, to nothing, to bam, tight rotation 15 miles directly south. All within a few mins, maybe a radar scan update. I think theyd say its 2 dif rotations but it was like the rotation transferred unpredictably and quickly. Looked just like the storms n how they move when they seem to burn thru the atmosphere like fire, quickly building and moving around randomly

@0ptimal Wow. I wonder if that was what I've heard called a "hand-off". One tornado dissipates, but another one forms shortly after within the same supercell.

The tornadoes would have been an unbelievable case study if we had DOW associated with this event, but I thoroughly enjoy open field chases as hit back more to home than you feel; this texas panhandle, SW Oklahoma has been insane this year to name a few - Hollister tornado, El Dorado and now this family of tornadoes; its been distribution-wise very active in certain spots, including even SW texas out there there's been some crazy chases such as Robert Lee tornado, Pecos valley tornadoes, Midland tornadoes, and even in western Iowa; we really are already looking into a historic season, but I'm glad your here for the chases to show us the amazing but extreme of mother nature @TornadoWarned

Yes, I enjoy nice open field chasing too! I never enjoy a chase that involves tornadoes impacting peoples houses/property like has occurred throughout NE/IA this year! The Robert Lee and Pecos Valley tornadoes were pretty cool too! I was guiding for a tour during those days so look out for that video eventually!
