And meanwhile Texas has taken the RECOMMENDED initiatives to prevent another catastrophe. Best handle your business if you have the resources to do so. These utilities should be regulated but unfortunately they aren’t because of greed and corruption.

The word is: “Culture of denial” Because the people in charge of the power grid are more concerned with income then providing an service according to normal intellectual standards. Care and consequence. Or in this case the criminal lack of. Never did I imagine that these words would be synonymous with Texas. What are you people in US as Texas going to do about this? If you really think about the entire problem, it’s insane. And this is US in 2021. Ok?! Is it a normal pattern of thought to twiddle your thumbs disregarding obvious facts and pretend the problem will disappear while the weather is changing drastically from year to year? No. Read the dept of energy order. Texas did everything it could, Biden wanted to lower pollution during an emergency and blocked us from firing up polluting emergency power plants.

I live in the hill country and live a life of abundance, and consequently, preparedness. Generators, potable water stored, perishable goods. Gas stayed on, so hot showers and cooking was still good to go. You go through this once, and if you don’t learn from that in rapid succession, you will deal with worse when it happens again.

If your electric bill is $50...your also paying another $50 to use their lines ... So your bill is aromatically doubled from the start . It's ridiculous ...I asked a lady one time I said when do I own the lines .. lmao 😂 ....Ha funny huh ?!!
