More than 20 years ago filmmaker Don Klugman manually zoomed and panned across hand-colored historic pictures to tell the story of Texas: a tale of Spanish conquest, Mexican sovereignty, independence and U.S. statehood.

This video is by far the best video on youtube for Texas History. Thank you so much Mr. Klugman! We just moved to Texas and I am using it to teach my nieces Texas History. You Rock Sir!

I suggest you get an alternate perspective so your niece gets both sides of the story. This video is pretty biased.

This video offers by far, the most student-friendly treatment of the Texas-US saga. Santa Ana's position on the "to be or not to be" of Texas and the US, allows for a less damning perception of the young militant Mexican who had thrown off the yoke of Spanish domination! Nationalism, motivated Santa Ana, Manifest Destiny (a species of nationalism) motivated the Americans Where does the blame for the Alamo rest? "We hold these truths to be self-evident ..."

Yes, Marcia. History's "good guys" and "bad guys" were thinking human beings who behaved logically in terms of their backgrounds and perceptions. Watch for upcoming postings of my histories of World War I and World War II.

The real reason of this fight was the money of another president name BENITO JUAREZ , who was good friend with George washinton ,by asking for the money and no been pay on time that was the reason of the invasion of the Mexican land, due to the desire of expansion of land for the usa nation
