Texas needs to spread their offense more. The best setters and teams spread their offense even during transition. Theyre truly so predictable. Their backrow defense could improve more too. There’s such a difference in their backrow and the other teams. I think working through those things is whats gonna get them the win. Plus thats where we see them breakdown against a formidable team. Continuing the way they are is going to be such a gamble come tournament time. Also, what a difference in energy saige brings in. Set 3 seemed so much fun in compairson to the first 2. Theres still some relationship and syncing they need with her and the middles. But the distribution!!

Para needs to hit from the back row. Specially when Petersen is serving. 18:40 point for example. @18:50 and @19:06 Parra had a good easy set. Smh This is Texas worst lineup because Jenna only drives it to Logan. Get back row moving to keep the middle honest. Texas cannot win on 1990s volleyball. I criticized Parras play last week big time but, I don't know whom to blame now. She plays Defense because she has to not because she wants to.bad from coach to not see her middle back row potential. S.o. to Phillips 1:04:23 👍 best hit I've been from her all hear. There is hump to her jump now.

Love Texas they are my favorite team but Jhenna is really starting to rub me the wrong way, she’s just to cocky and the media has blown her head up too much. She’s not worried about the big picture which is to get back to where we were last season during tournament time. She’s too caught up in getting blocks as a short setter 🥱

Team chemistry is really off you can just tell. Nobody looks happy to be on this team something is off. Their offense is very predictable and why are their most powerful hitters tipping so much…put a swing on the ball for christs sake. Saige needs more playing time. Melanie needs more attacking options. Middles need to be set more. Get it together Longhorns. Fans are counting on y’all.

People make mistakes and that’s okay, but damn get off her tip, what about all those serves jhenna didn’t go over the other time they played OU. She had if I remember 4 or 5 service errors? And PARRA was LEADING with aces. You can shit on her all you want but if you want her to be better she needs to be given the chance too, and as a team TEXAS needs to work on their chemistry overall. The point I’m trying to make is understand that mistakes are made.

texas is good but the vibe is just sooo off, everyone just has their arms crossed, if theres a good play no one celebrates the person who did it, all balls going to Eggleston, no one's smiling and looking like they are having fun. gabriels reactions just made her seem so unfocused and like she wasn't mentally here this game, and she's just starting to be annoying lol.

Just trying to picture what it's gonna be like for Texas to be playing in the SEC in a few years. I don't think they'll dominate the SEC, like they did over the Big 12 the past 30 or so seasons. Better competition with Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee and S.Carolina. But who knows, they usually get good recruits and the different conference probably won't matter

@BJKG The game is made so the outside gets most of the ball. Sage also puts it to the outside a lot as well. Especially when you run a 5-1. So when you can’t get a pass that you can’t run the middle. You run the outside. All the top teams go to the outside the most. It isn’t as one sided as Florida if you look at the math. Even Baylor hardly runs their middles or even right side. Hell Nebraska finds Maddie who is an outside when she is anywhere on the court because she is reliable like Logan. If you need points you feed your reliable player. You also feed the hot hand. There was plenty of times even Sage could have not set Logan but she did. You set who produces. Plus everyone celebrates early. During the whole match you can clearly see that. The libero celebrates early. Hitters too. Where did she get butt hurt from being on the bench from what was showed. She was smiling and chatting on the sideline and cheering. Y’all complaining out here about setting but not talking about how fields had two kills. How we miss so many serves and that’s how Baylor beat us. How sometimes our passes aren’t good enough. More than one player in the court.

Melanie parra is not the best option for passing. She's not confident in her passing, and even when she is its on a 1 or 2 option ball on a good day

She’s not confident in her passing because maybe idk the chemistry is off? I’m sure it’s hard for her to leave mexico and play in the United States, probably feeling as if she has no one. Just like the situation with Samantha Bricio. You need to understand that you can’t always make a perfect pass and when she days make sure you take that into accountability instead of ruling her off as a “terrible passer” making it seem as if she can’t get anything up.
