You are correct! That was Robin on the verse and I think a combination of Robin and Barry on the chorus, but Barry is louder in the mix.

Great reaction. I've heard this before, but never realized Robin was the high falsetto on it. I was lucky to have attended one the Spirits Tour concerts in northeast Ohio in September 1979. Best concert ever! Andy wasn't on stage for that concert, and it was a spectacular show.

It was the best concert ever. I too, saw them on the Spirits tour in 79 in Indianapolis Indiana. Best concert ever and oh Barry and those white pants lol. I was still a teen then....swoon.❤❤❤

The Spirits Having Flown album was there best selling studio album, and almost all falsetto, and all lead vocals are credited to Barry, except this song credited as “Robin and Barry,” and TOO MUCH HEAVEN as “Barry (with Robin and Maurice).” You were correct at the first place you stopped about that being Robin. If you like this, you should also react to the title track SPIRITS (HAVING FLOWN) and “SEARCH, FIND.”

Great reaction to a great song , one that surprised , me I can't say I've heard it before and I've been a BEE GEES fan since their first Australian performance . Still they did write hundreds of songs so there was a chance I'd miss one or two . My favourites are all their earlier songs before the disco era , that's not to say that I don't love what they wrote during disco and everything after , In fact I can't think of one song that I don't like , IMORTALITY being my all time favourite . Keep the reactions coming this old Aussie appreciates songs that remind me of my youth and journey to today .

Love Barrys later solos. My favourite is the End of the Rainbow, the one he sang to Robin when he was hospitalised jyst before hus death. It is a beautiful bookend to their anthology, with This is the Morning if my life at the other end

Robin's falsetto was so unique. Barry's was on the chorus and Robin's was the verse...you were correct. If you want to try a couple of great Maurice songs, Closer than Close and Man in the Middle, live versions. He had a special place in a lot of ladies" 💕

Extra trivia...the plane in this video was their custom plane with custom paint job that they used for Spirits Having Flown tour. It had their three heads painted on the tail and would you believe they actually received bomb threats! LOL Maurice said you had to be important to get bomb threats so he was proud of that. lol Also their families all traveled on the plane with them....parents, kids, everybody. They were mega stars and still wholesome...think about that. Congrats on that good ear Texas!

🎶 Three fantastic Maurice Gibb songs: "Man in the Middle," "Lay it on Me, LIVE at Melbourne Australia 1974" (it's great, should've made the country western charts!) and First of May with Lulu (his ex wife, beautifully haunting). Think you'll like them. Thanks for giving these guys the credit that they deserve. Disco backlash almost destroyed their careers. Luckily they kept writing, producing & performing despite the negative treatment, & gave us years of incredible music.

Barry, Barry & Robin, then all three (Robin and. Barry sing together in sync that it sounds like another voice. Barry said they had 5 or 6 voices to choose from when the put together a song. Mo said ( when referring to the song Fanny Be Tender With My Love), that it’s Barry & Robin singing together and sounds like one voice). I can tell, but been listening to them for decades.

Barry's and Robin's falsetto voices are/were so similar that many times when people heard Barry singing it was both of them. Robin's lower voice also blended with Maurice's into one making Robin the perfect bridge between his brothers

Robin got too little credit for his voice and was written off as a ballad and background harmony singer for too long he took the lead a lot more before Saturday Night Fever afterwards Barry was always the sought after one. Mo was also overlooked. At least after 2003 until 2009 Robin made some excellent soft rock records with his band.
