I have watched Bob Phillips over 50 years, love him. The Texas Country Reporter is different now, Bob is a Legend, at least to me; but that does not mean you sir will not become a Legend as well in a few years - Your style maybe a bit different, and that's OK, i think your going to do great things sir :) JB [think is your initials] I think you did a great job, WELCOME, me 72 yrs old now, Texas Lifer, My Granddaughter is 6th Generation Texan, hopes she likes it as much as i did. Keep showing us Texas, all the mom and pop places, and the good Patriot folks of my native State.... Like i sdaid been watching over 50 years, and i have NOT seen all of Texas so Show me what i have been missing JB ❤💯🙏

You know, as a long time watcher, the story really was never about Bob. TCR is about the people of Texas. The TCR is the liaison who connects viewers with fellow Texans. I don’t think Bob would have wanted a clone. Each TCR does well when they step into the shoes of the Texans they meet. If done well, the people are the focus and we find ourselves there too. Thank you J.B.!

All you need to do is get the legislature to pass laws that restrict HOA requirements for grass lawns and maybe we can put in drought resistant plants

My, how times have changed. I remember growing up watching Bob Phillips whenever I happened to "catch" the show, and boy, how I always enjoyed it. Now, I can "subscribe" on KZbin, and JB's latest episode is delivered immediately for me to watch at my convenience. I'm enjoying traveling across Texas through these shows as well. I've come to the conclusion that change isn't always bad. Great job, JB!

I have been watching Texas Country Reporter through most of its history. I have loved it, but I was not always able to catch it on tv. Thank you for putting this full episode on you tube on the night I was not able to watch on tv. You have stepped well into Bob's shoes and I am looking forward to many more episodes like the wonderful one I watched tonight.

After 42 years of watching Bob Phillips it’s gonna be a little bit different not hearing his legendary voice. I’m gonna continue watching and enjoying TCR on its next 50 years. You’ll do well J.B. We will support you and know you’ll do a great job. I love the native seed Bill Neiman is really showing what we really are missing. Great show J.B

Great job, JB. Now I want a donut!!😂😂😂
@osakarose56123 ай бұрын
Those donuts looked great! Cities need to change their code compliance laws to allow people to grow native plants and flowers. Here in San Antonio, if grasses or flowers grow over 12" in the yard, you get a citation and have to mow it down! They should allow native flowers and stop trying to have everyone have a Bermuda or St. Augustine lawn that requires so much water!

I enjoyed the show. I think what hurts is Texas Monthly. For instance, the seed guy was an arrogant victim looking down his nose to try and shame people instead educating people on what they can do. That's Texas Monthly's style of reporting.

Slow down, it took Bill ten years to figure out there must be a better way to bring beauty to our lawns and gardens. I have two acres and spend $700 a month on water. He got my attention and I’m a right wing red neck. As Texas grows, we need to be thinking about our future. I hope to incorporate some of his thoughts into my landscaping this spring.
