So the one you bought yourself had 0 silver, 0 gold, 0 designer, 0 rings, 0 vintage. The one they sent you had all that. Yeah they stacked it and sent you a good box to gain interest.

I do think the box they sent you to open was added to. They sell on EBay as ATS as well. They have large lots of 10 kt and 14 kt gold and sterling silver as well as occasional watch lots and jewelry lots. They used to have 30 lb lots of jewelry on eBay but since they started the website, I don’t see them any more. I have ordered several boxes and have gotten some nice designer items but the silver/gold I have come across is very minimal. The tiny thin chains that are broken bits in a tangle. I did get a box with close to 50 rings but they were in rough shape. There were a couple marked sterling but I haven’t tested them yet. They don’t sell single pieces of jewelry at their stores or eBay so the chance of getting name brand is very good. I probably get 25 pairs of earrings and 75 singles sometimes. I will order again but just let people know not to expect precious metals. Especially like the ones you got that were nicer pieces. I feel like they pulled a few out of their precious metals stock and put them in there. I could be wrong but thought I would let you know my experience.

I have ordered nautical jewelry lots from Goodwill starting in 2017 and the jewelry was beautiful. The last two lots I received in 2022 junkie with minimal nice pieces of jewelry in them. Very disappointing 😞

I have gone through 2 of their jewelry boxes and won't buy any more. Basically it was just junk and I couldn't put enough together to pay for the box. Nothing of any value, just plastic and broken or worn out things. Now I will say I love some of their other boxes and I have gotten 3 of their handbag boxes and will order more of them. The jewelry ones though are definitely a no go for me. Been burned on those.

Hmm…very interesting. I ordered a couple boxes and they for sure aren’t as nice as the box they sent you. It’s a bummer they are trying to bait and switch people….but at least the boxes are fun to sort through.

The first box was much much better stuff than the second one. The second one is just garage sale low quality stuff, while the first box had really good bracelets in silver that one of them was worth more than what the price. Can't compare the two boxes as you can see that they do not give a person good pieces if you are just the average joe.

Thanks for doing this video. I have just started buying the blue boxes after watching you and a few others. Gotten 4 boxes so far and mostly crap. Maybe 1 or 2 good items but nothing like people show on KZbin. I will not be wasting any more money on them. I ordered one a few weeks ago. There was one tiny pair of sterling earrings and no gold. There was a vintage Vendome bracelet that was in good shape and a beautiful Liz Claiborne necklace. Lots of other unbranded stuff. Decent overall, but nothing like the box they sent you.

Very interesting premise! I think the trend is that many thrift stores want to sell at reseller prices and then be taxed at a charity rates, raking in the cash. I'm not ok with how Goodwill, for one, runs their business model. I'm sticking with smaller, local thrift stores instead. You couldn't even get through the tangles in the box you ordered, and the other one was packed full of rings. I think that says it all. You''ve become one of my favorite chanels for your absolute realness. Thank you!

I've actually stopped donating to Goodwill I for few years now take my donations to Nonprofit and even Homeless shelters. Due to the in store Price Gouging Goodwill does now. Seriously everything is given for FREE to Help those in serious NEED cloth their family and especially Children and their prices today OMG if they could afford Walmart prices they'd be shopping at Walmart or other retail stores!

Stretchy rings are wonderful for arthritic women! My late great aunt used to take regular rings she liked and have the ring cut off, then have someone crochet a ring with stretchy metallic thread back in the 1940s and 50s.

Interesting video hon, I think they added to the box they sent you, the second one was definitely just chucked in and what a lot of people get when ordering a box. 2nd Box - dolphins and abalone. I agree absolutely hiddeous! Jewelry selected to share from this one not impressive at all. Have watched quite a few people open boxes from this vendor - usually they are full of cheap bangles and Papparizi on card. I am fussy, I consider most of this cheap jewelry. Still think the "selected" box was "salted".

The big flat herringbone is likely a good quality vermeil, they often are, unless clearly marked as gold. The Italian marked silver necklace is an Omega, usually made as a collar necklace, excellent for pendants. Much to my dismay the jewelry world has embraced calling a hinged bangle a "clamper" which sounds like an unmentionable disease and you would not stroll into Tiffany's and ask to see their "clampers". The silver "woven" bracelet is called "Riccio", an Italian made usually, QVC used to sell them in the 90's. They often were tri-color with yellow and rose gold vermeil. Wow 2 Riccio's! The finish on the backside can tell you a lot - when there is rippled or a pebbled surface it is likely not sterling. That single earring does not appear to have amber in it, looks more like a reddish agate. The surprise ring looks like Sapphires, yea for the diamonds. This box for $60 , not seeing the rest, was worth it - however its the one they "selected" to be sent to you for review so no way do I think any other person would end up with as much good stuff.

I just let ats have it. I got 10lbs of bottom of the barrel,dirty,crap of which 90% went to the trash! Every you tube video has gotten decent stuff. I let them know us non you tubers who are just trying to find personal treasures to keep didn't appreciate our budgeted money being blown like that! Theres fair, then theres being taken advantage of. I have ordered a box from American Thrift Supply. I received quite a lot of silver, including a ruby and diamond ring. I also revived Brighton and many branded necklaces. I don’t do KZbin just online sales. I want to do videos but haven’t got there yet.

I ordered back at the beginning of June I think…waste of money for me…nothing but plastic junk brackets - 4 big chunky wood necklaces with material tassels, no rings but lots of bits and pieces. I honestly thought that my bag must have been the “junk bag” they set up to capture all the, well..junk pieces. Any decent looking piece had extensive wear on it…I was literally sick in my stomach watching you unbox both of your boxes… I swore I’d never buy again but after reading some other comments here and in other threads I might give them a second chance…it’s just a lot of money to spend and then throw in the trash.

I was excited to see this sorting video and went looking for the higher resolution version of the video and could not find one under the gear icon on the YT UI. I recommend in the future for close work videos like this one make the resolution on your recording device higher. I put this on full screen on my 27 inch monitor to get a good look and it was not as easy to see as I would like. I came to learn at the elbow of the master so I was dissappointed in the video quality :(. Alas, part of it may my aging eyeballs 😵‍💫 but none of my glasses helped). Well thanks to you and your demonstration of how to know jewelry is real silver or gold. I do have a small magnet and I tested my 50th anniversary ring which I personally helped pick out. It’s a wide gold band. Labeled 14k gold. I took my ring off and the magnet grabbed it 😢 I’m so upset. It was 12 years ago and bought it from JC Penny jewelers counter.
