With these mini PC'S the market is saturated with a lot of companies offering the same motherboard and processors so you really do not get anything better then the other. It is the battle of which mini PC is within your budget.

The problem with a lot of x86 mini systems is the GPU and not the CPU. I had an old second hand HP computer with a E8400 that even ran Nintendo 64 suprisingly good because it a seperate onboard GPU. It's the iGPU on older cpu's like i5 that isn't good enough. Maybe someone should make a system with an 750ti or even 1030 (problem with the 1030 is btw no VGA output any more) The Orange Pi 5 maybe the only cheap option to play N64 and Dreamcast flawlessly. Or try getting a second hand Shield TV. That one is fine also but is less flexible in installing different kind of OS-es and Android TV still kinda sucks for Emulator usage. A lot of crippleware you have to pay for the full version even if it's free on other platforms.

Some mini pcs are good for emulation, others are good for immolation.

I'm pretty sure Batocera 35 had performance issues with Atomiswave and Naomi. Upgrading to Batocera 36 might fix it. Also, you might want to check in System Info and see what GPU driver it's using. All of this is probably fixable with some software tweaks.

What was the i5 CPU in this pc? I have an old 3rd gen i7-3770 (4c/8t) and GTX 1060 6gb running Batocera and it can emulate everything up to ps2,, Xbox (most playable games) & Wii U. Most DS games at low native resolution and about 75% of the playable PS3 retail (115)/PSN (65) games I've tested.

@@erikkarsies4851 6GB GTX 1060. Previously had 2GB GT 1030 (DDR5) and that also ran fine without any problems. Emulation is more about the CPU than what GPU you have.

Yes, but a 1030 is faster than most iGPUs (except some of the ryzen) I have a system with an older i5 and 1030, but some other system also. So it's defintely the GPU that gives trouble on emulating newer systems. The Shield TV has a reasonable GPU (comparable to a 750 I think) and not so fast CPU (comparable with Pi 4?) and that system can emulate Dreamcast and Nintendo 64 fine.

I do not get it?why can my 3.0 gighert doul core,3 gigs of 800 megahertz ram matched and it runs every mame game even all there's up to 3 full speed,60 frames no drops and these faster systems struggle?

My powkiddy and Anbernic handheld devices can play atomis wave Dolphin blue better than this and they have only 1gb of ram...it's a weird weird tech world we live in 🙏🏽
