Hello, Rick! Thanks for the video! This circle tool I have used in the past with about 80% knowledge of how it works. Thank you for doing this video and the related next video, it fills in all the knowledge gaps I had on this subject. I did, however, discover one additional nugget that I wanted to pass along to you. When you select a font size, elements will let you know how many letters can be used to make it around the entire circle. In your first video, go to the 7:29 time spot. You will see the point where you are making your font size selection from the drop down menu. When you make your decision, the top number from the drop down menu, in your case, becomes 82pt. This is shown to be correct later in the video as you attempt to find the size that will fill in the circle. By process of deduction (at 9:21 on the video) you come up with an 80pt size which leaves you with a desired gap of two pt. If you chose 82 then the circle would have filled completely around 360 degrees. I find this tip handy especially when I want to use two different size type or styles on the same line. Hope I explained this well enough to understand. I am no teacher!!! I appreciate all you do my friend! Thanks for the help on this subject! Rich

Hi Rick thank you for sharing this tutorial. I have seen tutorials on putting text around a circle be never seemed grasp all the fundamentals. This tutorial was different in that you describe setting up the initial centre of the circle followed by the text and then sizing. Having followed your suggestions before placing this comment, everything just clicked into place. Thank you again.

How do you make text on the lower half of the circle to not be upside down, or to curve upward?
@DoodleOfMonk6 жыл бұрын
Great instructions, Rick. I like all your vids, they are easier to understand than most. Question: I am making the graphics for a CD. I want to put curved type around the CD. Is there a way to change the size/position of the circle one creates after you draw it out (in case you see that it must be resized)? TIA

I guess my Photoshop Elements 5.0 is too old? Doesn't have all the features you are using... And I probably can't hack it without them. :(

Click on the "T" for text tool but hold the click for a moment. Then all the text options will show.

When I draw my circle, drag the cursor to the circle and click the circle, it disappears. Why is it doing that?
