I vaguely remember having a really clunky version that I barely touched back when Windows for Workgroups was the latest thing. My introduction to Bryce was what eventually sucked me into the whole 3d modeling scene and eventually got me into Daz Studio again when it finally had far more tools and didn't feel as alien as that first version I had.

Tafi is actually the parent company of Daz. Which is why I'm surprised at this, since Daz makes money from selling 3D models

@@Geekatplay OP is correct. Daz studio site cites Tafi as their parent company and Tafi lists Daz studio as one of their products. I think whoever wrote the Wiki article missworded it. What I believe happened was that the company Digital Art Zone (aka DAZ) rebranded themselves behind the scenes to dissociate the overall company from the stigmata of being 'just a hobbyist' application producer often associated with Daz Studio (much like Blender still holds that stigmata despite rapidly growing into a professional suite of tools since the launch of version 2.8). They kept the name DAZ Studio for their product since it is a widely known and established name at this point, but they specifically state that the Daz is no longer an acronym but the product name itself now. Disney has done this as well, only in reverse, branching off with Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures so that they could produce more 'adult' style movies without being hampered by the 'family friendly' Disney brand.

What I'm wondering now, will it be possible to use the generated models inside Daz Studio for Daz Scenes and Renders? Will it use assets from the store to generate the models? Will I have to purchase the assets used or will it only use the assets I have installed in my library?

@@Geekatplay I think they meant 'does' it have image prompts. I'm curious as well as it would be nice to use an art reference instead of having to describe it in words.
