Hi ! Nice video thank you for sharing! IM a textile artist too and have just started playing around with foil. I'm not having any success with what i am trying to do. I would like do an all over foil on jeans. I was trying the classic method of using adhesive and foil with a small ish heat press but this is way too uneven and doesnt look good. Do you have any suggestions for me to try? Love to hear from you - Thanks a toN!

Hi, Denim is harder to foil onto than a fine cotton as it has a coarser weave. I have certainly tried it out using the fusible web technique and the foil gives a more ‘distressed’ look. One solution that I have experimented with is using two layers of fusible web and then applying the foil. However, I don’t think that the finished article would stand regular washing. Hope that helps.

Technically this is washable but I would consider it to be a luxury finish and I would not put it on anything that was going to get a lot of wear. Hope that helps.
