I love that!! The free motion foot takes a lot of getting used to, but it is so fun and I love what you can create with it! All the best. :)

I love the way you've used Dylon to ice dye. I'll have to give that a go.

@@lydiagracestudios You seem to be using the Dylon pod for the washing machine. I just wanted to check if that was the case and is there a particular reason you use that rather than their non washing machine dyes?
@lydiagracestudios3 жыл бұрын
Yes I put the ice dyed fabric in the washing machine and made sure I used dye that wouldn't wash out in the machine. I did this because I was thinking about making clothes, bags, pouches, etc. with this fabric and wanted them to be able to go through the washing machine without the colours fading. However, with some of the other fabric I dyed, I just used regular drawing ink because I was thinking of using it for pieces that wouldn't go through the washing machine. So it really depends on what the purpose of your project is :) I hope this makes sense! Let me know if you have any other questions :) Also, I think if you are planning on ice dying your fabric you'll need to get powdered fabric dye as it is the powder that mixes with the ice that makes the effect :)

How did you create the font you use on your vids?
@lydiagracestudios4 жыл бұрын
I created a font with my own hand writing using www.calligraphr.com/en/ :)

Aaaaagh! Get rid of the music! Watching someone crafting is therapeutic and enjoyable but really, the bursts of piano music whilst we watch you cut out a piece of fabric is not necessary. I love your tutorials, otherwise! xx

Thank you for your feedback this is really helpful! I am really new to video editing and when I made this video I was just trying to figure everything out. In my most recent videos I keep the music quite low throughout the whole thing. Thank you for liking my tutorials :)
