I have Angelina film (like what you are calling mylar) and would like to use it sort of like an applique for embroidery. Do you know the process for that? I don't have the fiber Angelina.

Hi Becky, you can use the film for an applique. I usually stitch it down with machine although I have on occasion hand stitched bits of it as collage elements. You can't apply much heat to it or it distorts.

just thinking a little piece of double stick tape will hold it in place while you are stitching. You can also do some cool distressing by using the stitch lines as a resist and then applying heat.
