I'll just take my notes... : 1. Satin - A soft, shiny fabric often used for fancy dresses. It has a glossy surface and a dull back, made from filament yarns. Originally silk. - It is a flat and lustrous with a smooth surface. Soft and good drapability. The surface slides easily for lining. The fabric is wrinkle-resistant and its poor resistand to abrasion. Uses: • Eveningwear • Lingerie • Facings • Hats • Shirts • Ties • Sportwear • Wedding

Denim - One of the most iconic fabrics, made from rugged tight woven twill. - its traditionally even with 100% cotton yarn, however today, it's blended with polyester to shrinkage, wrinkles and lycra. It is strong and durable. It's for long wearing and it resists snags and tears. Uses: • Jeans • Shorts • Shirts • Lightweighted Jackets • Suits • Sportwear • Caps • Eveningwear • Children Cloths

3. Georgette - a type of crêpe fabric that is typically made from pure silk but also can be made from synthetic fibers like rayon, viscose and polyester. It is sheer and lightweighted and it has a dull, matte finish. - It is uneven textured and has a crispy feel. It has an elegant look but it has a full apperance and its snagging more and is difficult to sew. 5. Velvet - a type of woven tufted fabric in which the cut threads are evenly distributed with a short dense pile, giving it a distinctive feel. - it is smooth, softer, thick, and bulky.
