It wouldn’t occur to you in your ‘smart’ deduction that she’d re-text him after she didn’t receive a reply, or he might call her or send her a text? Sure, if he told her he didn’t get a text she might check and see where it went - you gonna count on that? The video itself might even be fake, but it’s not a scenario that’s too far-fetched to actually occur. It probably has and people will react in different ways. Frankly, I’d do what the guy did, because I’d figure there’d likely be further communication. You’d consider it a done deal and continue on. Before you tell somebody to “Be smart!!”, you need to check just how “smart” you’re being. If you’re the type that doesn’t look beyond what’s right in front of your face, it’d probably be a really good idea to just state your opinion and leave out snarky comments.
