Textured Alcohol Ink

Hi Jennifer!! I started alcohol inking when alcohol inking wasn't cool anymore and have never stopped. I learned about the basics in an Artist in Residence program offered by the YMCA in Boise, Idaho totally free of charge to cancer patients, survivors and their caregivers. I ran right out and purchased them. I felt that this was a craft that wasn't too expensive and really doesn't need a lot of supplies unless you want them. Thank you soooo much for sharing all of your fabulous ideas. It's good to have new and exciting alcohol ink supplies and new ways to use them.

Awwww...Jennifer, I hope you know just how inspiring you are to so many of us. The first time you advised, and this tip most definitely applied to me, to never discard those background panels until you've trimmed them down, that tip made all the difference to me as previously I had been tossing them. After doing that it somehow just magically changed the look, even with these ole eyes of mine LOL so I hope others try this as well. Another fab tutorial my dear and as always, stunning cards! Yupo paper is expensive so I now practice with the “backside” of printer photo paper. It has the same results and works really well.

Such an incredible video, Jennifer, filled with ideas and stunning inspiration. P.S. you might like to try grafix opaque white craft plastic. It takes heat without warping and you can actually lift colour to get back to bright white. :) Love yupo too though and duralar! Thanks so much for sharing all you do.

I’ve been on the fence about getting the alcohol inks. They’re very pretty...and I was going back and forth. Well, this video has definitely pushed me off the fence😂😂😂 not in a bad way...but in a “ why are you waiting, you know you want them” way! I’ve got tons of embossing folders. But I’m thinking I need some of these dies. They are so versatile too! Thanks Jennifer!

Fabulous ideas for alcohol ink backgrounds that can easily be used for ink blended ones. The only difference being the lack of shine, unless you use shiny inks like liquored. 😊❤
