@@Aspirant45632 If I am not wrong even in Tezpur University campus there's no BSC courses.. only govt. or Private colleges affiliated to it have those.. you can check out those colleges.. in Dibrugarh University too it is the same...They have both Governtment and private colleges affiliated to the universities. You better check out Cotton university, Guwahati university and other Colleges in Guwahati for that.. that will be better. It's is not bad in Colleges of NEHU too like Lady keane, ST. Anthony's, ST. Edmund's... but here living cost and fee structure is higher. And based on liveablity too I would choose Guwahati...

Is there any kinda ragging or racism for other students? How is the lab facility for btech ? how to contact the school of technology?

Ragging is strictly prohibited 🚫 on campus. People from outside the state is safe here although I have heard some stories of such incidences... it happened decades back.. now it is comparatively safer and especially community violence e.g. Local Tribes and other tribes or northern or southern tension atleast I haven't heard of any. Racism is far lesser in North-East generally contrary to major places like Delhi and other parts.

Now, on the ragging part. Although, I am from North-East, I am from outside the state of Meghalaya and personally I haven't faced any such incidences where I was made to feel like an outsider even in the mildest form. Although, last year 2023 there was an incident of ragging of a Naga student, I will give them the benefit of doubt that it was in Tura campus (quite far from main campus) not in Shillong campus. Obviously there will be people who are not so knowledgeable and educated that indulges in such acts... but just saying the percentage of such incidences is really low and I think there's nothing to fear especially the Shillong campus is quite safe.

You can download the latest prospectus available in nehu.ac.in official website and the contact no. will be there but you'll only get them during office hours. 10a.m to around 3p.m and when the department is open usually closed on Saturday, Sunday and other holidays. Or u can directly go to School of Technology page and get contact no. from there.

I am not sure if you'll get hostel before your class starts.. for us last year, PG students we had to wait for a few weeks for hostel allotment.

If by chance the hostel list is not issued before the class starts.. you can stay in NEHU guest house dorm for some weeks by paying a minimal living rent.

The mess fee is ₹ 2000 per month. Hostel rent you have to pay it yearly.. You can check the prospectus available in Nehu official website for more details. Lemme just tell you what I paid but it is subject to changes: Since my course is for 2 years for the 1st year I paid ₹7700 which includes some refundable caution money and for the 2nd year I paid ₹4200

You have option to choose NEHU in CUET probably coz they provide UG courses in affiliated colleges Jo Shillong Mai Hai campus k Bahar. Most of the colleges are private.. You can check our ST. July 3rd, 4th week tak start ho jayega sayed se admission process. But sure nahi hai depends on the department, kyuki last sem ka abhi tak khatam nahi hua, dissertation.

So, previous year cutoff for MSC Biotechnology ST was somewhere between 180-200. And regarding Gat b, I am not so sure. The total seat previous year was 35 seats in the 1st list .. so total seat is around that number.

Not so sure about B.Arch. However, the admission criteria is similar to other central universities in India, you should clear NATA or JEE and minimum 50% in 10+2 and minimum 50% in PCM
