When Blight said that Doc was one of the few people who didn't make fun of her, and how Doc rarely if never corrected the others for making fun of Bliss. Doc has always been like a big brother to Bliss, but his major flaw is that he usually looks for a compromise and can't take a firm stand on one side. It's a good thing, but it can't always work. Dr Wolf may have just cracked the whip in the wrong direction this time, and it ended up costing him.
