He bashes sniper conviniently leaving out the fact that sniper gets butfucked by anything in his close proximity. I cant tell if he is just out of the touch with the game in general or just cant comprehand the fact that once in a time he is going to stumble upon a competent sniper who is going to prevent him from farming kils with his market gardener for free. For anyone arguing that sniper is broken, switch to sniper and tell me if u owned the entire server or just got 2 kills per minute of a game.

​@@lizard_wizard7246 Except a good sniper is never alone. They always have a team in front of them, screening them against any enemies who want to try and close the distance. Those team-mates also serve as a distraction - it's hard to focus on the sniper waaay in the back, when there's an entire team's-worth of enemies demanding your immediate attention. And even if the Sniper is alone, uncharged headshots do 150 damage. That's enough to one-hit-kill Scout, Engineer, Medic, Sniper and Spy - 5 of the 9 classes in the game. An uncharged headshot and a bodyshot does 200 damage - enough to kill Soldier, Pyro and Demoman. Though all three will be so weak after 1 uncharged headshot that you could probably finish them off with the SMG or Kukri instead. A Sniper who is good at close-range quickscoping can wreck 8 of the 9 classes in the game. The only class they can't ruin is Heavy, but if a Sniper has allowed a Heavy to get close enough to be a serious threat, then they're an idiot anyway. Bad snipers are fodder, but good snipers are nightmares.

@@tbotalpha8133 Then its not about a sniper as a class, but the good team composition. Any class preforms better if its a part of a coordinated team. The high damage output is a reward for requiring mechanical skill to land headshots. If it wasnt an instakill on light classes, everyone would just play spy so im glad it aint like that. In TF2, movment is important and sniper punishes u for predictable movment. If u die to sniper, take difrent routes, minimize your expousure to sight lines or, if not anything, switch to spy or sniper to counter him. Good sniper, as any good class, is a threat that u must recognise and ultimatly conclude how to deal with. If u stumble upon a god sniper, its no diferent than stumbling upon any god class. Lastly, the heavy. Heavy is the worst class to fight sniper, so i cant realy get where you are coming from. Sniper just dies to anyone entering his no no zone, quick scope headshots are atribute of the god snipers mentioned above meaning that there arent many of them.

@@lizard_wizard7246 Ah yes it's fine that one class out of nine fundamentally breaks the close range combat design because it takes "skill" to aim for the head even though that class doesn't have to worry about literally any other skill-based mechanic in the game and all other classes need all of those mechanics on top of aim. You say movement is important in TF2, but sniper is hitscan and thus movement is irrelevant to him - you can't dodge an instant-hit bullet. More importantly, he doesn't need to worry about movement himself because he has all the time in the world to move out of the way of the incredibly slow projectiles, or otherwise because any hitscan gun other than his does about 4 damage at his optimal range. A class being countered by itself does not mean that that class is balanced. And no, spy does not counter sniper in any universe - stand next to a sentry with the Razorback and instantly become immortal to anything except the mirror match. The only real ways to deal with a sniper who can headclick competently are the vaccinator (which destroys your actual pushing ability most of the time) and slamming your entire team into him at once (a character needing to get 1v5'd to actually die is very balanced, yes?) There is no counter class you can go to fight a good sniper standing next to a sentry gun with a Razorback, except for sniper itself. Period. There is a reason that this combination is often used in Highlander leagues (the closest thing to a pub environment with all skilled players that exists in tf2) and why teams entirely play around their sniper in serious competitive tf2 (outside of 6v6 5cp, where the gamemode construction and unlock bans restrict this playstyle). They're simply the strongest class if they have any degree of team support, and even if they don't they can snap-shot to kill their aggressor (even an explosive-jumping class will usually be under 150 from the jump and the fall) in a situation where a medic or engineer would already be dead.

Any class is OP with enough practice. Spy does prety well counter sniper, razorback is a fucking meme u can shoot through with revolver, and no sniper ever stands next to a sentrygun because sentryguns position needs to be close to the objective for its purpose to be achived, basicaly efective sentry placement is to close for sniper because sentry is a focus fire of any push meaning that sniper will take plenty of damage, if a sightline for a sniper can be achived with sentry being near that also means that sentry can be shot out from outside of its range; there are so many reasons why u shouldnt stay near sentrygun as a sniper all of which relate to reducing ur efectivness, or if u get some engie to place a sentry to a good sniping spot its a wasted sentry. To my knowlege, there is no spot thats both good for sniping and good for sentry. I already stated the reason why shots do so much damage, in order to justify mechanical skill of landing said shot which some people, including u apparently, seem to underestimate. If its so easy, pick a sniper and click on every head u see reliably. For every shot u land, there is 5 to 10 u will miss, even for a competent sniper. Lastly about the comp TF2, its such a linear expiriance, in 5cp 6 vs 6 it boils down to who is beter scout, and in highlander to who is beter sniper, and the last thing i want is for casual to be balanced around any of these mods

Fun fact: The Sniper Rifle isn't actually infinite range. If you take it onto ctf_fooooooooooooooooort, and aim at a sniper on the opposing battlements, the rifle will actually be out of range and the shot won't register as a hit.

This keeps randomly popping up in my recommendations and I can't help watching it every time. It's a perfect example of how practice in a game leads to skill, even if the intention is to be braindead. Those hard reads are glorious. I feel like videos like this need to be mandatory viewing for new players, because skill like this often gets falsely called out as hacking. The commentary leading to some of these shots is excellent headspace in how to play Huntsman, and even play against it.

For me, it’s the opposite.
