Things are ,in many ways, still far better than most of human existence. Its been kinda shakey recently but its rare that it isn't. Now I'm not saying one shouldn't stand up for things they believe in but people need to chill a bit and understand that if they truly want to change things, foundations need to be layed and patience is a virtue.

There was a point I heard someone mention somewhere. It was something like: if the rate of crime decreases by 40%, but the reports on it double, then people will still think there's more crime. Bad things and stupid people I feel are becoming less and less common nowadays(no matter how small the difference may seem), but with the internet and the rise of social media, it is in the orders of magnitude times easier to encounter them.

7:46 I’ve been thinking about this exact thing a lot lately. My parents always like to say that the world is full of a lot of evil today, as if there wasn’t any in previous generations. I’ve always told them that there’s always been evil as long as there’s been good, it’s just a lot easier to see now since information transmits so quickly in this age with the Internet. The village idiots now also tend to congregate in echo chambers with others who validate their idiotic behavior so instead of there being individual idiots all over the world, we have idiots who create communities of idiots. We went from village idiots to villages of idiots.

I did something similar the other day on Uncletopia, instead of jumping, I ran to different low grounds and slopes.
