In regards to the 7616 mystery, I found that according to Wikipedia, Australia has a size of ~7,617,000 Square Kilometers. That's so close to 7616, I'm guessing Valve just used a slightly different calculation or maybe went by a number that didn't include one of the smaller islands (Mornington Island,, King Island, Flinders Island, Fraser Island, and Bathurst Island are all possible candidates). Alternatively, the city of Lilyfield has a population of 7616, but it's doubtful that population has stayed exactly the same since Valve added the 7616 milestone.

Fun fact: Some back of the envelope calculations tell us that, were you able to constantly maintain the 100 kills/30 minutes pace, without interruption, you could get 10000 kills in 50 hours. Meaning if you pick up the pace a little bit, and do no breaks longer than a toilet break during map changes, it's theoretically possible to get 10k kills in under two days. It would be an absolutely torturous 2 days, but it's theoretically doable.

I feel like the phlog is balanced by itself. You give up defense for offense, and you need to work hard to get that offensive power. The biggest issue is the scorch shot, which doesn’t require any real skill on behalf of the player, and gets a ton of damage for the phlog.

But saying 'Imperial Germany' is referring to the historical period between the unification of Germany in the Franco-Prussian war and the abdication of the Kaiser at the end of World War One. Imperial Germany was an Empire with an Emperor/Kaiser, Nazi Germany was an Empire without one (much like how several French Republics, the Soviet Union and the United States have been Empires without Emperors).
