I got scammed years ago and lost a handful of unusuals including my first (a steaming mining light). But now I’ve had nebulas, spelled burning all-classes and recently traded for a strange bubbling balloniphones. Videos like this are great! The best advice I think any trader should learn is that your item is only worth what you sell it for. Which sounds obvious but a lot of people don’t seem to get that.

one tip i can give myself is make a list of you own research hats and effects people doesnt want everyone loves a burning flames but no one wants it on a ugly robo hat everyone loves a brother hood of arms but no one wants it on a massed flies do not go blindly there saying OHH I TAKE THIS SNIPER UNUSUAL OF 8 KEYS because you will see theres shit ton of bots 2 sellers and 0 seller iswhere you will make good profit

one of my favorite things to do is keep up with prices on a spreadsheet. it's a good way to find out which unusuals circulate around more and/or rise in price all of a sudden; besides, my net worth rn is 11 keys so i can't really do anything. i want genuine tips on unusual taunt trading tho

I could definitely try to make some content directed at unusual taunt trading, or more niche markets in general ^^ unusual taunts are just usually a pain in the ass. 11 keys is hard to work with but definitely not impossible

oh and another question, is the new ui on backpack good in your opinion? i find it more comfortable to filter the pricelist and classifieds, plus sort inventories. i think it's a little slower tho

I prefer the old just because that's what I'm used to, but the new one definitely has a lot of very convenient perks for sure. Easier to search skins for example

War paints are a bit tougher to price, however you could try the backpack forums and ask for help there. Remember to ask multiple price suggestions don't take just the first one you get as fact, stay safe ❤️

I know I'm late to the party, but I just came back to Tf2 after 5 years and celebrated with a bit of unboxing from all the crates that had piled up from right before I left-- 28 total Smissmass 2018 and Summer 2019 crates. I happened to unbox a taunt unusualifier (Russian Rubdown if anyone's curious), and I'm planning to apply it during the Scream Fortress update in 2024 when the new effects get released. What's a good expectation value for the sellback price of an unusual taunt with a hot-off-the-press effect? Thanks very much for your time!

Try to use it first day if possible, that's where you make the big bucks for the most part. It is a looping from what I remember as well so that's even better for you. As for how much it really depends on what the new effects will be so right now it's hard to give an estimate

Can you consider making a long-term series where you start with 10-15 keys as you suggested in this video and trade up as much as you feel is alright to end the series? Since this stuff take weeks and months to seel it shouldn't be that hard to make the video since it's just updates. Idk, I just miss some zero to hero trading series and such

I actually had an idea of doing it all on stream, and then I'd post me narrating my thought process to KZbin in each trade while it's happening. That way people can understand what I'm thinking during each trade, I think that would help a lot of people doing it that way, will most likely do this just don't know when yet lol

A lot of KZbinrs do exactly this! Honorable mention to the Rust youtuber 'Welyn' who pops up in my recommendations even though I never played Rust in my life. Recording your gameplay and then creating a story in the post-processing part really makes it entertaining and somewhat easier to create considering you will have more material to work with. Also, don't limit yourself to tf2 content! A good video is a good video! And you are good at it. Just post what you feel like doing, even if it's 'tf2 trader tries trading in Palworld" or "me and my dog making new friends in the park"" and your community will grow =) @@eksd5363

First of all huge congrats on the unbox! I'd personally price it around 240 keys average. Realistically it's 215-250 keys, don't go lower than 215 imo. Second, be very careful when selling it if you choose to, triple check offers and make sure whatever you get offered is actually a good deal. Thank you for watching and best of luck for the future 👍
