Protect the statue gamemode: red has to protect a player (statue), while blu tries to kill him. Statue has 500 hp and regens 10/second after not being damaged for 5 seconds. Statue can move but can only relocate itself through conga taunt.

This should be a thing! Randomly, a player's weapons are removed and is given 60 seconds to find a spot. When time's up, the other team is released and the chosen player is immobilised. The other team gets 60 seconds to find and kill the "statue". If they don't succeed, the statue's team wins and another player is picked. It's like cp with a twist; a faster paced attack/defend gamemode. The larger the map is, the more time the statue killers get. I'm pretty sure that the community made the saxton hale mod so I'm guessing that making something like this should be relatively easy. The statue has to be a player. A game can't last long so the statue won't have time to get bored. Since the statue can't move, it'll have to use something else in order to win: communication; warning anyone in sight of nearby threats. Pub servers often lack communication, this mode forces the statue at least to rely on communication.

AzureRoxe The thing about prop hunt is that, for the most part, you only weapon is hiding. You're allowed to shoot only if you're the last prop standing. My idea is to have only one "prop" while every one else on your team has to defend you. It's not so much about hiding as it's about placement. Getting to a hard to attack, easy to defend area is the way to go.

This would actually be a pretty neat game-mode if it was fleshed out. Imagine one target, like a statue or, if you need to be more TF2 themed, a bomb, and RED team defends it and BLU team attacks? Heck, there could even be a statue on each side, making it like a destructive capture the flag race! It'd need very specific map building and mechanics to make the game-mod work. Like, sentries would be pretty goshdarn OP if you could just build them in the same room as the statue, and sniping it from afar would also be the first thing anybody would try to do if there were sight-lines. But I can actually see "Statue Protection" as an official (maybe just fan-made) game mode. I'd play it.

I have actually thought something like this as a game mode for a long time but fused it with the Spy Statue: each team gets a Spy Statue thats needs to be guarded at the same time the team needs to destroy the other teams Spy Statue! the Spy statue is immune to crits, meaning you cant headshot it or backstab it for instantkill, but the spy statue has 90% reducation on all his attacks, meaning he cant do much damage at all, cant cloak or do backstab. the other team members get respawned but as soon the team's Spy Statue dies, the team loses!

New Gamemode: Defend the Statue Red team defends, Blu team attacks Statue has a large amount of HP (i.e 1000 hp per player on blu) At the end of the round, if the statue is standing red team wins. If the statue is destroyed at any point, blu team wins. Statue does not have a 'head' hitbox and takes normal damage from crits/mini-crits.
