@wolfsworkshop909510 ай бұрын
@@bmstylee manufacturing, once you have a set of molds made you can crank them out like rabbits can crank out babies having a "metal" that behaves like a polymer allows you to do that, because atm the faster way to make it out of metal would be forging and then cnc milling

@@bmstylee nearly the weight of steel but with the slight flex of polymer is a very pleasant recoil impulse. I don’t love the 320 but the tungsten infused polymer is a clever idea. Also ostensibly cheaper to make than full steel, though in this case you’re still paying the sig tax.
@daftpanda653310 ай бұрын
@@bmstylee It makes a difference where the weight is, as well as how much over all weight. So if you can have the weight mostly in the grip, it helps with the recoil impulse but doesn't make the pistol feel like a brick. Also, different size weights can be used in the grip module to better suit the shooters preferences. Another nice thing about polymer frames is they don't retain as much thermal energy, as polymers are typically insulators. So say you have a pistol that stays in a car safe- the grip won't retain as much heat or cold as metal would. That said, I also like metal frame guns, and both metal frame and polymer frames have their advantages and disadvantages.
