I bought that truck… That exact one. The TFL demo. I’m a car dealer in Grapevine Texas and purchased that Titan at auction. I was flipping through the Bluetooth settings, because I’m demoing it right now, and I see TFLtruck#1 and Nathan’s iPhone right below it from previously stored phones and immediately looked up this video. I’ve been a fan of the channel for years and was pretty shocked when I came across the names. Anyway, great truck, really enjoying it. Love the channel. Thanks for all the great content.

I can tell you what its like to live with a 2020 Pro 4x: Not only do I love it, I get questions about it everywhere I go. People are curious and then very impressed. Then after the questions come compliments. I hope Nissan does a 180 and decides to keep this truck in their line up. Im going to drive this truck until the wheels fall off. Then I am going to put new wheels on and keep on driving it.

Have a 2004 titan as well as a 2021 pro 4x. I love my 2004, feels like it will take me anywhere and almost have had no problems with it... Unfortunately I am not a fan of my 2021 titan. It has an extremely unresponsive gas pedal with a lag that has many complaints online. Also it's infotainment system is the worst ever. It understands nothing with it's voice command and is so rediculous I will ask me if I want to go to an address when I'm only a couple blocks away... Why even bother at that point? It's navigation is virtually useless unless you use Android auto and Google maps. Also it's sound is only ok and almost no customizations. For a vehicle of this status I should not want to be replacing a stereo of this style nor needing a pedal commander to hopefully get rid of my pedal lag that my older truck does not have.

@KEN-du2iz 2 жыл бұрын
I'll add into this review The safety features are extremely annoying, having to press buttons over and over especially when backing a trailer. No button in bed to turn lights on. Manual shift is just a gear lock out not like Ford's where it goes and stays in the gear. Truck seems to hold full power back in first gear, lot of sound but it's not going anywhere. Trans is smooth and aggressive when in tow mode, but when rolling through stop signs or down town areas through allies there's a huge delay before the truck wants to go. The voice system is on par with Ford's last generation of sync. Ride is decent but alot of noise in the front suspension when going over rough roads, more car like than truck. Doesn't feel very robust. Traction control on is the same as with it off, truck just fights your inputs when in mud, sand, snow... Camera really is worse than I thought it would be, it's not laughable, just plain pathetic. AC is not as good as the big three at least mine isn't, test vs my 2016 ram work truck and wife's 2016 Ford. It's avg 4 degree warmer and fluctuates in tempature more. Basically in the middle of summer you feel like you're having hot flashes because the temp fluctuates that much. Sound system is very good, seat are good, controls are good. I'm not a brand loyal guy and I wish this truck was better. I owned the first gen when it came out and was very impressed this time around they get an A for effort but it's a no for me. For me the AC and nannies are a no go I can deal with the clunky front end. But I can't deal with Karen riding shotgun and meat sweats in the summer.

I have a 2021 Pro-4X and love it. They are not lying about the MPG but I had a 2019 F-150 XLT that got better gas mileage but had all kinds of problems and felt cheap. This was after owning an 06 F-150 since new and having almost 200k on it when I traded it in in 2019. The MSRP sounds high but you are not going to pay that. The only options I don't have are the moonroof and cooled seats. MSRP was just over $60k and I paid $46. You will not find any other truck brand out there that gives you all of the options you get for less money. Memory seats, heated seats (even the back outside seats), power seats on both driver and passenger, and the list goes on and on. I looked at every brand and I am not brand loyal at all. There are a few things I don't like (or have to get used to) with the Pro-4X but after having it for almost three months now, I love it. It does everything really good. Others may do some things better but many things worse but the Titan is overall a better truck. Oh, and the seats are the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in for any truck.

Remember manufacturers test cars at 55mph, CO highway speed limit is 75, plus CO is above sea level. It all depends how you drive, if you’re constantly gasing it to 3k rpm at every light or 4-5k rpm merging onto the highway, you’re definitely gonna get 15-16 mph.

I love my 21 Pro-4X. From $61k, down to $51k purchase price makes its like $20k cheaper than a Ram Rebel (of similar options) and that was totally enough for me to make the switch. I don't think the interior is "lesser", just not as flamboyant. If anything, I think the exterior is the most handsome truck currently made. Everyone else seems to just be going for outlandish styling and I don't get it; they're trucks. This truck in black, is so clean and gets a lot of compliments from guys and gals. I do have the sports bar, but it only works on the black truck. Otherwise, nope. The reliability is great, and the warranty even better. Die-hards will argue their truck is the best based on nothing buy fanboy mentality. The Titan is a gem, but it needs to lose a few pounds and round off a few of those rough edges where you can tell they opted to save a little money in production costs.

Agree 100% with Nathan and pricing. Bring the price down, add in 0% financing and try and flood the market. You do that and leave the truck the same and they will sell. Over the coming few years, innovate the truck and by then, you'll have a larger loyal fan base. Heck, when I bought my first Ram in 2006, that's what they did. I bought that truck with 14k off MSRP and 0%, had it for 10 years before I moved to a 2500 and more recently a 1500 again. Same year I bought mine in 06, my father and brother bought one too. When you get a good deal and have a good truck, people will talk. Get a Titan in every neighborhood and people will talk. Let people see more of them and they will sell at full value eventually. They need to engrain the truck in the fabric of people's lives. At this point, they can't ask for the same amount or even sell them close to what the other 4 companies can sell for. You get a good deal, and they will sell.

@@NathanDAdlen well I get that and to be honest I have had two fords with two different fobs and that was annoying because you grab the wrong fob for the car you are driving. However a simple remedy is to put two different keychains on the similar fobs, problem somewhat solved- I got Nissan fobs with the vehicle type on them so now really problem solved. I guess my observation is more how Nissan is treated over say Toyota, Nissan old warn out tired design in reference to frontier, Toyota tried and true design in reference to the tiered old engine/transmission combo of the 4Runner. I own a 2021 Titan configured the exact same as way as this. Same same color, same year, same everything. I have owned two POS F-150's w/Ecoboost (2015 & 2017). While the Ecoboost power is awesome, I had nothing but problems with the trucks and Ford's customer service sucks IMO. I have had 0 issues with my truck. I drive mine like I stole it and currently in a police chase daily (I.e. air born daily), have nearly 20k miles on it and it is rock solid. Don't care about fuel economy, I fill w/ premium, engine sounds great (could be quicker....ESPECIALLY OFF THE LINE.....COME ON NISSAN), No AFM or auto off that you have to disable, & Kick A$$ stereo! If you want a proper truck, something you can beat the hell out of and it asks for more, this is your truck. When I bought mine, I got 0% for 84 months & $6k off (I doubt that is still happening) but I guarantee you its significantly cheaper than a comparable truck from big 3 & Toyota. Oh & the 5/100k Bumper to Bumper warranty helps too! To sum it up, IMO.....Tech features = middle to upper middle of the road........Power = middle of the road (similar to hemi, between 5.3L & 6.2L but not even close 3.5L EB).......Dependability = amoung the best (tied with old Tundra).......Value = the best by some margin.

A set of Bilstein 5100’s will improved the ride quality and off road performance since you can level the front end out. Remove the running boards, sport bar and that will take care of 3/4 of your complaints. I can’t figure out how to get better fuel mileage with mine but I knew it wasn’t going to be great when I bought it last May. When no other dealers were willing to go a penny under MSRP (most were over) I found my Titan Pro4x with an MSRP of 60k for 48k since it was a demo with 1800 miles. I could have added another $1500 to that for a brand new one. Best value out there in my opinion.

Last week my boss's turbo charged v6 F-150 had to go into the shop and he towed our work trailer with my 2019 Titan. He said "The difference between the F-150 and the Titan are night and day". The next day he ordered a Titan. It wasn't until then that he realized his 4x4 turbo v6 F-150 only had a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs. The Titans are work trucks...super nice and comfortable work trucks and they do everything very well. Gas mileage isn't the greatest out of the current selection, but I enjoy the fact that my engine isn't run so lean that the life expectancy is 1/3 shorter.(proof is in the warranty). Also, those turbo charged v6's only get good gas mileage while not towing or loaded and driving like a granny. "You only get the eco or the boost, not both" I also agree with these guys that the 7 speed trans does hunt a little (while not towing) when down shifting to get on the freeway and such.

I love my Titan. It actually turns a lot of heads being it's different than looking like one of the herd of Chevy, Ram, and Ford. Being that Nissan is going all in on the electric vehicle stuff, I wouldn't be surprised if they cut a deal with Hercules (which is all Titan but the drivetrain) and release that as a Titan powered by Hercules or something. It's just convenient that there's no news of the next Titan right around the time Hercules gets released. Sometimes 1+2=3 and sometimes 1+2=chair. Just a thought. I never had an issue with Titan, others have gotten them since I bought mine. Reliability is up there with an engine that's been around for near 20 years give it an A. The interior comfort is a B. The infotainment is a B+. The ride comfort is B+. Sometimes it's about getting good everything than give and take with other brands.

Have family? 360 sensor protection with auto breaking features and that is also a standard feature. I looked at these same features on other Makers and you'll be priced out easily with the same safety features. Yes this trim is expensive, but the lower trims still have the safety features that you want. You also don't have to pay for a spray-in bedliner or bedrails. These things are all standard. Compare this to a base model and you will not find a better light duty truck.
