I'll give Kia credit the exhaust tips are actual connected exhaust tips. Even premium brands have been trying to pass off fake exhausts lately.

Here in the Pacific Northwest the Soul must have the widest demographic appeal of any vehicle. Seattle hipsters, downsizing seniors, small families, car pool commuters, and the snail mail delivery person on my small island in the Puget Sound all drive and love 'em. And speaking of islands, at less than 14' in length the Soul earns a discount on the stiff fares aboard Washington State ferries. Few other vehicles qualify and none with the 66 cubic ft of overall cargo space. Makes those Costco runs a snap. One of the few downsides of the GTLine? The center exhaust makes fitting a trailer hitch difficult if not impossible. And that means bike(s) have to be carried inside or on the roof. All in all the Soul is a magnificent vehicle. Honda and Nissan must kick themselves for failing to hire rodents to sell the Element and the Cube.

Yeah they need an AWD option. I love that my Serria has AWD and I couldn't live without it anymore. Side note: People say why do you need AWD why don't you just put it in 4x4? It turns like shit then so getting out of my parking space can be difficult in 4x4. Also once snow hits the ground or I go offroad I put the truck in AWD and only use 4x4 when I need it. Much more fuel efficient that way.

THERE IS an AWD Option. It's only available in Korea though. I own a 2010 Kia Soul and one of my passengers, I do uber with my car, Was an engineer for Kia, and told me about it. Said the reason we don't have it here is because Kia doesn't wanna get into a pissing match with ford over AWD Suv/Cars

I hate my 2016 Exclaim. From the rattle behind the steering wheel that sounds exactly like what speedometer cables used to sound like, to the groaning suspension that creaks and squeaks backing out of the driveway or going over speed bumps, to the overly sensitive key fob that I can't leave in my pocket because the slightest movement sets of the panic alarm, to the falsely listed EPA rating of 27/31, to the rear seats that rattle when in the up position, I can just go on. The steering wheel rattle the dealer claimed couldn't be fixed because they have no idea what would cause it, because it does not have a speedometer cable, and there really isn't anything back there that would rattle. The groaning suspension I've had 2 dealers tell me can't be fixed, claimg "it's a vehicle characteristic". The gas mileage situation when I lived in an actual city never got higher than 22 MPG, usually more around 20, and I don't drive that fast. I didn't start getting 27 MPG until I moved to the country, and have to drive 15 miles to the nearest walmart, and there isn't even 1 redlight between me and there. It's basically full on highway driving, and I still don't get 31 MPG. Oh and i forgot the fuel pump that went out at 50,000 miles, leaving me stranded on the side of the road 200 miles from home. I'd think twice about buying a KIa if was you.

@@KristoferOlsson yup. Not low cost. Battery costs need to come down more. If you are ready to go tail free emissions now. It's not a bad car
@danwat12345 жыл бұрын
Where is that? It's probably just as fast as this turbo if not faster. Buy one used off lease pure win. But you do get the tax credits if u buy it new and state incentive.

8:30 'if u don't want to hear the exhaust, why r u buying the sport version of the Soul?' Maybe for the same reason people will buy the electric version, for the stealthy performance.

@@Gandalf721 They have an electric Kia Soul that is just as 'sport' as this besides noise
@danwat12345 жыл бұрын
The electric model will probably be just as fast, something to consider. 201HP, just like this turbo but no lag. What a coincidence. And over 100MPGe. Not mentioned in this video, shame. Also, 29MPG versus the Camry Hybrid with 208HP gets 51MPG so not that impressive!

I don't get it, instead of Kia doing away with GDI engines because frankly, they're horrible just do a duo port and direct injection.

Well, they really only started making quality products for 2011. That's only 9 years ago. They've only been in Canada for 20. People don't even know my Cadenza is 6 years old. Buying Kia doesn't scare me at all. Every car I buy will be either Kia, Hyundai, or if I can ever afford it, Genesis.
