As big a fan I am of Dark of the Moon, THIS should have been the Driller and Shockwave we saw, not the Driller that was defeated simply by flying through it and cutting it in half and the Shockwave who was defeated simply by ripping out his eye! It's.... sad when the game versions of the characters out-perform the film versions! Oh well! I guess if I want to see a Driller and Shockwave that know how to fight, I can watch this!

I personally was ok with how they were killed, the fight just should have been much longer. Optimus should have at least had a real fight with Shockwave before ripping his eye out, but at least Shockwave was able to show his insane durability before he was killed. It’s not perfect by any means but it’s something.

Shockwave was constantly peppered with bullets by ground soldiers, blinded by a parachute, taking fire from other Autobots, had his chest punched out, but was still up. Then he was finished off by Optimus. He took a lot more punishment than most Cons.

I’m at least glad they showed shockwave as a tank in the movie. He did get beat in more then pretty much anyone in the movie, as was only killed by a brass knuckles optimus. They definitely could have done him better, but it wasn’t COMPLETELY terrible.

I think if I were to redesign this fight, I would use the idea of Optimus fighting the Driller’s tendrils at the start, and keep the idea of attacking Shockwave’s back as a week point. I would use the Driller to create an arena for the fight, and Shockwave would have significantly more brutal attacks. At about halfway through the fight, Driller would grab Optimus, and he and Shockwave would fight on the Driller itself. After Shockwave is significantly weakened and his canon disabled, a God of War-style quick time event would have Optimus brutally defeat the Driller. The weakened Shockwave would then engage Optimus with a series of devastating melee attacks while Optimus degrades his armor, leading into Shockwaves defeat.

Best way to defeat shockwave is by locking onto him with stealth mode rockets, slightly aim away from him once locked on, whilst circling the arena. This causes the rockets to circle around shockwave until they hit his weekspot or explode themselves

if you want it to be easier when fighting the driller you can shoot each arm one by one and dogs the other arms and when the head is weak enough to where you can shoot it you should shoot the arms making it defenseless and it helps to gain a higher score by doing so
