I really wish we saw the scene with Ultra Magnus animated. 3 seasons worth of build up to Ultra Magnus saying the simple words of “you are a hero” to Optimus even with this just being a possible version of the script was really satisfying.

They actually made s continuation in a comic in which Sentinel got depromoted to a space bridge repair bot, Optimus ended up as the leader of the Elite Guard and in the last scene of the book, Optimis spoke to the unconscious Magnus, who managed to awake and tell him that he was wrong and that he was a hero basically

And damn i cried at Ultra Magnus' final moments. him saying "I once told you that being a hero isnt in your programming, I;ve never been so pleased to be wrong" hits hard af, finally admitting anyone can be a hero if the bot chooses to believe he/she can

God, I still remember when this was first broadcast at TFN, everyone went completely and utterly NUTS when the audio started playing. Could not believe what I was hearing and I will never forget the experience. It's still my favourite convention memory, I'm so happy that this occurred when it did (ie, pre-pandemic) so that we all got to experience it in person and just bounce perpetually off each others' excitement.

I wished we got this back in mid 2009. Around when Revenge of the Fallen came out. People back in the day have so many questions. What becomes of Ultra Magnus? How did Sari ended up on Earth in the first place? What becomes of the Decepticons, now that Megatron is in trail? What ever happened to both Lockdown & Swindle? How will Blackaracnia & Waspinator ever come back? Will Meltdown ever show his face again. & how did Rodimus got freed from the Cosmic Rust?

24:11 someone commented on keyan carlile's latest vid about season 4 that sari is a gen 2 cybertronian ( the maximals and predacons from BW, smaller than their ancestors in the show, and able to assume organic forms ) and this image just makes this theory all the more likely

I’m not sure I like Sentinal here, I know being a smug jerk is part of his character, but I think even he would respect Optimus at this point I would have had Optimus or him propose they both become magnus, but Sentinal relizing optimus would kick him out as soon as he figures out all he’s done since achieving the prime and magnus rank, so he tries to make cybertron veiw them as “equals” still make op look worse and him look better; but also helps primes image while he’s at it, and realizing he’s wrong later

Also I'm writting a TFA season 4 fanfic that delves deeper into the great war and what the decepticons were fighting for. Also wasn't really suspisous that Ultra Magnus only took Sentinal's word and blindly believed him instead of checking the security camras on the ship they took? Optimus could of went with him and Elilta 1 to talk them out of going and unwillingly joined them, even both on the ship and exiting it he could of tried to get them to leave and go back to the academy, so why did he not check to see the truth?

Did you wonder why Ultra Magnus ONLY believe Sentinal and not check the ships secuity camras? Or even check them? I doubt Sentinal's smart enough to think to clear the camras memory when they got back.
