The craziest thing is that how IDW Shockwave is sooo powerful that it had to take Optimus Prime and Megatron to work together in order to beat him. And even then the only reason why they won is because Shockwave let them beat him. And also that blast didn't even kill him all it did was send him back in time and the first thing he did in the past was change Cybertron religion.

For those who don't understand the brilliance and terror of regenesis shockwave, allow me to explain. In the beginning, shockwave was once a kind cybertronian counselor and scientist and the best friend of Optimus prime himself... But the other counselors who were far more greedy and power hungry and twisted didn't like shockwaves kindness and so they basically lobotomized him and erased everything from his mind except hard, cold and unfeeling logic. he eventually went back in time to the beginning of Cybertron and killed Onix prime and stole his identity. He basically made undead transformers and experimented on countless others, even going as far to give them the same lobotomy that he was given. He then created the 14 hours which Granted him power over life and death as well as reality, space and time and even matter. And then he proceeded to try to compress the entirety of the infinite transformers multiverse, which contains the multiverses of other franchises, into a singular point in space and time, which was himself, so he could then power Cybertron for eternity. This would of course destroyed literally everything and all of existence would have been basically crushed to nothingness. He was only stopped because in the process of doing so, the compassion and kindness of his old self made him stop. And this is all just the more larger scale things he's done.

It's funny to see Megatron's concern about Shockwave's abilities, it brings back the spirit of the first Marvel Transformers comics where Megatron and Shockwave competed or even fought for leadership over the Decepticons. If my memory doesn't let me down
