Little bit of vent edit cuz these past weeks have been /wild/.
I've been struggling with my brain a lot lately. It goes from intrusive thoughts to mental breakdowns at least once a day it's exhausting. At some point it felt like my brain got the best of me, when the darkest thoughts came back to me. That's when this song came up as I was listening to Citizen Soldier's playlists... As much as I was agreeing to their lyrics about the world being a better place without me, I was also agreeing with the fact that I was still breathing and that I had already won a first battle against depression back in 2018. I have my arm tattoo as a reminder of that and of the very first TFNation in 2018 which helped me cross a line on my depression. I had won and I had come so far since those days.
I have actual wonderful friends who mean the world to me instead of the toxic friendships I had thrown myself into while just wanting to belong somewhere. They helped me rebuild my trust and in a way, myself and the constant mutual support just makes our bond even stronger.
I've gotten so far in my live and have yet so many things to accomplish but sometimes it seems easy to just let go. It doesn't help that I've been missing Chester Bennington so much lately because of how much his music helped with my depression. Sometimes I just want to join him. But I've won a battle before and I won't let this one get the best of me because this time I'm surrounded by people who actually care for me the same way I care for them.
I still look up to Ironhide the same way I did back then and I know we'll be able to pull through the same way we did before; when I'm alone by myself that's when he pops up in my thoughts no matter what.
So yeah, I'm struggling but I refuse to let this be the end of me... There's always a light that'll shine through the dark.
In a way, I dedicate this video to all of my friends, the closest ones to just the acquaintances, thank you for being like a family to me.
